All things Dundee FC

Recommended Posts

I don't have a major issue with Dundee issuing an angry statement tearing into the Record. I do have an issue with them banning all Trinity reporters - most of whom will have never met whoever wrote the headline.

Clubs banning journalists is usually the sign that something dodgy is going on.

It was (Dundee United fan) Murray Foote's last day as Record editor yesterday.

Said conference then produces a "Dundee on the brink" front page. Coincidence?

That would be a sensible suggestion rather than the usual blame Sevco nonsense....

Yes, when I go to Queens games I like to pop in and pick up a Rolex on the way.

I don't do that when visiting the San Siro for AC Milan matches though, so it's more expensive to watch Queens.

To be fair the press have been desperate for someone else to go down the tubes since Glasgow Rangers went bust.

Indeed. The more folk who shun the Daily Record the better.

Spend less money at a Liverpool game than I do at an away Dundee game tbf

Not much of an opportunity to murder Juventus fans at Scottish grounds though.

A few fine tweaks and Dundee fc would be running like a dream.

1. You must have a new stadium with training complex. Make it work 7 days a week for you.

2. Short term you must get a decent manager, McCann isn't the man. You need to get value for the cash you splash. Top 6 budget and in a relegation battle every year? No wonder your core support is  so poor.

These are the essentials for survival, you cannot hope to sell a 1m player every season.

Point one is their issue. The owners are willing to put money in because they expect to take money out when the new stadiums built.

As far as I can tell they'll build and own the stadium, and then rent it out to Dundee. Not overly convinced that's any different to the situation Dundee are in just now. They'll simply be renting a brand new stadium and if/when the owners decide/need to get rid of it, they'd have to buy it.

Feels like there's an element of QP/SFA/Hampden about it all. As in you'll be over the barrel if your owners decide they need to up the rent.
