Hartley has admitted defeat in getting Stevie Mallan due to St Mirren putting too high a valuation on him. As much as I would've liked him I wouldn't want to see us spending cash on a player St Mirren fans say hasn't been particularly good this season.

Knowing Pep, he'll be in the starting line-up next week.

No way should we be paying the same as Hemmings went for

Not the same situation though. If we'd got Hemmings in without a release clause, there's not a chance he'd have went for so little.

Whether Mallan would be what we need or not is up for debate, but he'd be a cracking little investment as he looks like he'll become a big player at some point.

Anything above £150,000 though is out of our budget, but I don't blame St Mirren for wanting more when they don't have to sell.

Suppose it just highlights what a shite deal we got for Kane :(

Seen something on yordis Facebook about him saying to young boys see you again soon and not in squad today and wasnt injured. Might be nothing but surely he hasnt jacked it in?

He's at the game anyways.

I would think it's more likely he's going home for a bit and will catch up with them during the international break.

Josh Skelly scores again for Arbroath.

Skelly was tremendous today. A goal, an assist, won a pen and then played a huge part in another goal. Quite rightly taken off before FT so he could lap up the applause. Looks a completely different player from last season.
