Lichtie78
He would. But it would be AGAINST senior experienced pros. That would help immensely with the reality of competitive football. It wouldn't make any difference. You can already play 5 overage players in the current set up, and given the teams that Dumbarton's reserves would be playing against, I doubt many of those would have fit senior players to spare either.
1320Lichtie
Nah have to say I'm in the reserve league camp, much more beneficial to young players, although without a youth team ourselves we'd struggle to field a team. It is definitely something that should be brought back though IMO. Vast majority of teams in the top 2 tiers would field one, would help young players phase themselves into 1st team football.

The policy at Forfar for development squad is as follows. a) standout in games hailed as the next big thing. b) promoted to first team squad , plays couple of games then drops to bench. c) farmed out to Junior side. d) released.

Lichtie78
Can't be too many players in the league who've played 150 games for the same club, brilliant achievement.

Whatley and Hodge can do a job. Whatley usually very good at the back. Emergency loans can still be used too.
Big lichtie
leicesterlichtie help me out mate. firstly the top ten players with the most apperances. secondly the top ten goal scores for arbroath would be very grateful for your help
SimonLichtie
If we have no plans to bring in further cover at the back then that is somewhat outrageous. If we don't bring in anyone further this window then I think there is a good argument that the squad that we had pre window was just as strong, if not stronger, than the squad that will be going into February.
Loonytoons
Whatley and Hodge can do a job. Whatley usually very good at the back. Emergency loans can still be used too. I hope Hodge gets a regular spot at full back.

Lichtie78
If Little or Hamilton got injured just now, we'd be in big trouble. I'm not Mark Whatley's hugest fan, but he's as close to a defensive midfielder as we've got so needs to stay there. Even if Hodge is competent at full back, he's nowhere near being fit and is going on holiday to Dubai anyway so won't be available. We'd either be stuck with Sukar at CB and Whatley at LB, leaving an unbalanced midfield, or taking a massive risk with an emergency loan centre half.
HeraldSchumacher
Whatley has played better at centre-half than full-back this season.
lichtie23
This is worrying. Malin will do a fine job in replacement of McCord but defensively we look in trouble. Suker ISN'T a LB and even tho Whately has done a job in the past when he played at full back against Edinburgh earlier in the season he was very poor. Suspensions and Injuries will ruin our title dreams.
