Dunfermline at home on a Monday night is an absolutely brutal friendly for us. I don't understand why we can't at least have 1 interesting pre season friendly. An away friendly to a Dundee or Fife junior team would be a good wee day out for the fans, wouldn't cost us anymore money to arrange/ attend and would be a wee bit different. We had a great wee day in Edinburgh against Craigroyston a few years ago, a superb wee trip to Hill O'Beith last year and of course used to have the tours of Northern England/ the Highlands back 10+ years ago. I fully understand financially the tours/ having an overnight stay costs money so appreciate us not doing that, but surely we could have something a wee bit different, a wee game at a ground we don't normally play at etc. Playing Hill O'Beith away last year would have cost us no more than having a training session on the Saturday. Playing Dunfermline on a Monday night will probably be break even when you take expenses etc. off as no-one will attend that who isn't a season ticket holder. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
