Harry Beaver
Talbot. Bo'ness and Linthgow all must fancy their chances of progressing, don't think any of them have anything to fear. If Hurlford can over come Edinburgh Uni they to should progress.

Waznt it not Fraserbrough who put Linlithgow out last season or season before i recalk them being 2.0 up and losing 2 late goals and losing replay i may be wrong, you cant underestimate Selkirk this season im sure theyve made some decent signings
HibeeJibee
Are Sparrans in next round or are they out. Since the cup was restructured for 2007-08, the top 4 non-league clubs have received byes to R3. These now go to the top 2 in the Highland and Lowland leagues so Brora, Inverurie, Spartans & Stirling Uni enter in R3. Auchinleck will be favourites to beat Buckie who are a shadow of their former selves, finishing bottom half in last season's HL. Linlithgow can't take anything for granted at Fraserburgh - afterall they beat Montrose last season, and beat Bonnyrigg a few seasons ago. Junior clubs have fallen to HL opponents on several occasions. Selkirk were the one club totally out of their depth in last season's LL, but having completed their stadium and obtained their licence, they are now investing in their playing squad. They have 15 full-timers (comprising 7 or 8 Frenchmen and 7 or 8 Scots apprentices) and a front-line of Garry O'Connor the former Scotland, Hibs, Birmingham & Lokomotiv Moscow striker; Phil Addison previously of Berwick; and Ousman See the topscorer in the EOS Premier last season (IIRC). They have started the season well with 3 wins and 1 draw. Bo'ness will still be favourites and a Selkirk win would still be a surprise. Banks o'Dee and Culter both got very favourable draws, so should dispatch the HL makeweights. Girvan have a pretty tough ask at Rosewell.

murphy1970
Talbot have a good record against HL opposition but I,m sure Tucker & team won't be taking anything for granted. Glad that we,ve got home advantage

Aubrey Maturin
I can see both Bo'ness and Linlithgow struggling to progress from two very tough away ties. As HJ points out this is a completely different Selkirk side to the turkey shoot of a few seasons ago and Linlithgow will also find it hard against Highland opposition in their own back yard, and Fraserburgh did finish ahead of last seasons conquerors Deveronvale in the league. Talbot also have a tricky tie against a Buckie Thistle team that were too strong for Bo'ness United a few seasons ago, but hopefully home advantage will be crucial. BuckieJaggy
Dont think buckie r same team in the last cupl seasons. Spot on we dont have the money any longer had a brilliant team back 3 years ago and beat Bo'ness away 2-0. Nothing like that now id imagine if we managed a draw it would be a brilliant result. Lookin forward to our trip to Ayrshire tho. We used to have a brilliant away support and had 3-400 fans at Bo'ness, 400 ans to East Stirling on a cold Januarry midweek but it wont be anything near that now. Think its the tie of the round but Auchinleck will be massive favourites
