Club started works to turn pitch 2 seasons ago remaining land would be used for training area . Works came to a halt when sports scotland then glasgow city council got involved. Sports scotland where willing to supply funding in principal for 3G plus small training area but preferred pitch to remain in current position. Club has plans to form youth academy and had discussions with gcc re taking over local public parks also named greenfield park. Talks still on going with one of the suggestions selling towns current ground to developer and moving lock stock and barrel to greenfield public park just a stones throw away. Turning pitch would give us playing surface of 104 yards long with minimum required 100 yds current pitch is 110yds . This would allow for small standing area behind each goal with another stand on opposite side of one recently built leaving enuf room for another smaller pitch for training and coaching kids. Work ceased after talks began with council these talks will hopefully resume shortly with commonwealth games over. Hope that answers everyone's questions.

Cheers guys. I remember at the time questioning whether it could be done as there didnt seem to be enough room.

If they have kept the same team that gained them promotion theyll do well in the super 1st.
