Benjamin_Nevis
Does anyone else agree that there isn't enough non bread based affordable lunch options on the high street? It sounds overly simplistic, but I think one reason people on the continent are healthier than us is because of a better variety of quick and affordable lunch options which are both healthy and fulfilling. Do PnBers eat sandwiches most days for lunch, and if not how do you mix it up? Discuss. Burgen seeded bread with a couple of mexicana cheese slices and mayo. Superb. Geronimo
The OP's account is clearly a wind-up. "Billy Boy Moshni"? Anyone that takes offence to his post is just as idiotic as "Billy Boy" himself.
Guest
Burgen seeded bread with a couple of mexicana cheese slices and mayo. Superb. I hadn't heard of that. Thanks Jupe, will try later. I also never knew before today that drinking lots of water after eating carb based food like sushi expands it in your stomach and gives makes you feel more full, without adding extra calorific value to it. This is useful for me, because I adore the taste of sushi but find it to be an unsatisfying lunch in terms of how filling it is.

Mexicana cheese however is most certainly the cat's tits.

Some of the high street sandwich are ridiculously overpriced. £3 for 2 bits of bread with a scabby bit of chicken between them? f**k off When I was in Europe I found Albert Heijn express supermarkets to be an absolute godsend. Sandwiches, pastas, salads and general snacks, all affordable, healthy, tasty and filling (even the salads). We always hear about how it's too expensive to do but they show it's clearly possible, and I think a shop like that would do a roaring trade here. The government need to encourage chain supermarkets to offer more of an alternative IMHO.
HibeeJibee
Rangers most recent efforts in Europe: Played 22, Won 1, Drawn 11, Lost 10 Why bother? The Rangers most recent efforts in Europe: tba At their demise, Rangers were a net drag on our coefficient. Their contribution of points for wins and draws was so feeble, that the effect of dividing all the club contributions with Rangers involved actually resulted in a slightly lower co-efficient than if they hadn't participated. Their involvement wasn't a boost, but a slight hindrance. Remember this the next time a Rangers fan (not this OP alias) or redtop deploys the sob-story. I don't see how that helps us to discover healthy and imaginative lunch options at all HJ.

Widen your horizons MonkeyTennis... a better coefficient would give us more clubs in Europe and more chance of seedings, meaning more ties in a wider variety of places, meaning broader experience of a better variety of continental supermarkets, pie-shops, and (in a thick French accent) boulangeries. SodjesSixteenIncher
There was a couple on The Apprentice on Sunday who do breakfast yoghurt pot thingies out of a London tube station. The Dragons were interested in the wholesale side of it but not the core business. I'd defo buy a wee tub thing with fruit, oats, yoghurt etc made to order. Never eat before I go out, then go for the unhealthy option at lunch. Wouldn't be one of those cretins who makes a bowl of cereal at work but would happily scran one of these. Ah, would a better parallel not be that Tesco suddenly receive a windfall on such a scale that they can invest heavily, to the further detriment of High Street sandwich outlets? Far from more of us learning from the skills and style of foreigners, we find that our own food producers and preparers are further choked and damaged. Or something... DAFC.
Dunfermline have the best wins percentage for Scottish teams in European football. Just like to get that in there. And we never died.
The ghost of Jim Morton
After Motherwell went out in the last round to a bunch of postmen, taxi drivers and binmen Aberdeen, celtic and st johnstone have further embarassed scotland in european competition this week. Why do your pathetic clubs even bother entering? Kicking Rangers out the top league has really benefited the club game in Scotland as a whole eh? At least we will be back in the top league and winning it next year as is our right and we can adresss the co efficient the following season. In the meantime stop giving yourselves a red neck and organise a wee tournament amongst yourselves in late July. We ARE the people Always have been always will be Rangers, the only show in town and THE club in Scotland I had a lovely Club Sandwich for my tea tonight.. Oh and the answer to your question is because.. WE ARE ALLOWED TO PLAY IN EUROPEAN FOOTBALL. Then I had a fudge brownie Sundae..
