Oh how I prayed we’d get 9 that night

I tried to start a chant of 'It's only three points, it's only three pooooints, Mark McGhee, It's only three points' in the SS and it never took. I thought it was a winner. Just goes to show how poor an understanding of herd mentality I have.

As if we didn't know anyway but it's always nice to be acknowledged by your peers

We most certainly weren’t on Saturday. Some of the lunatics  down at the wall as the players came off at the end put us to shame.

Some of the chat on Twitter from our fans is embarrassing.

If you don’t throw around illogical arguments against McInnes you’re a happy clapper. No critical thinking whatsoever.

That said, it does feel like the gaffer is at a bit of a crossroads in terms of how we approach some of the bigger games this season. My best guess is that he doesn’t have the same belief in this squad as he did last season’s - hence overthinking it at times.

Yeah. Don't get me wrong I'm not thrilled about our struggles in the 'big games' and I think McInnes should shoulder some of the blame, but equally games outside of the top 3 we have a fantastic record. Hibs are a good side and we've beaten them twice this season already. Despite the poor record against the Glasgow teams Aberdeen are equal second and only 9 points off Celtic, having finished second 4 years running. Offered that under Brown or McGhee, Calderwood, Patterson or Skovdahl (the only Dons managers I can properly remember whilst supporting the club) I would have bitten your hand off. Against lesser opposition it feels very rare that we lose a game. McInnes has given me the best period of supporting the Dons since I started being old enough to support them properly. He has a lot of credit in the bank for me. Mathematically secured a top six place this season again.

We definitely have more than our fair share of absolute beauts.

Fine win for the U20s though, 4-1 away to Celtic.

I agree with all of this except us being joint second. Goal difference does count unfortunately.
