realmadrid
The stadium is set out the same way for the CFL BC Lions games. Was not set that way at my last 2 lions games one of which I sat on the top tier

I'm sure in game 1 against the Eskimos the curtains were up.

They are moving to a new stadium. So I would say they are moving, Wow, capital letters. Sergeant Wilson
They can't move to White Hart Lane. Haringey Borough are the real team in that area.
HibeeJibee
Not exactly on scale being looked at in recent pages but closer to home Kelty Hearts have received planning permission for their new grandstand, to be built during the 2018 closed season.
Sloop John B
Atletico after what seems like an eternity have finally moved to their new stadium which seems to have went down a lot better than expected, apparently they still need to do some cosmetic work on it but I do like that they kept the old stand so it has some uniqueness to it.

I nipped over the bridge to watch our U20s here on Friday night Hibee. What a great facility it is going to be.

I thought the whole thing was brand new and built on a different site?
Salvo Montalbano
It is. It was the proposed Olympic stadium. Maybe meaning the stand that was build for that?

Yeah it was essentially a Spanish Meadowbank built for a bid for the Athletics World Championship in the 90s (Which it didn't get), it then tried and failed for 2016 Olympics and finally Atletico took it on.
HibeeJibee
That stadium in Seville where Celtic played the UEFA Cup Final in 2003 - actually called "the Olympic Stadium", IIRC? - proved a similar white elephant I think, though it had hosted the World Athletics a few years before: neither Betis or Sevilla moved in to use it and I don't think it's hosted anything of note since. Don't think anyone uses the Barcelona Olympic Stadium either now. Edited September 19, 2017 by HibeeJibee
Salvo Montalbano
It seems quite arbitrary sometimes if a stadium is called "Olympic" or some derivation of that. Many of them haven't been Olympic hosts and some haven't even hosted Olympic football or even training camps?

Sloop John B
For those who like some good news about Old Stadiums, the Stade De Gerland in Lyon is at least still being used. Unfortunately something much, much worse than being knocked down happened to it...
Salvo Montalbano
Is that terracing on the lower tier behind the goal?

Looks alright imo and better than just "completing the bowl" tbh.
