Has anyone seen this clip from the BBC Scotland website? Its a Q&A session with Galloway and it made me so angry I had to post it.

The first three or four questions are hideously easy. He is an incredibly skilled debater and the interviewer decides to lob him stuff that he gets everyday on Twitter - and therefore has a very strong answer to. I only watched the first 7 or 8 minutes so apologies if it gets better but this was just a opportunity for him to make his case.

I'd love to talk to him one on one without the big show that he's so good at. I agree with most of the points he makes and would consider him as fairly reflective of my political leanings. But he is so far off in relation to Independence.

To get George in favour of independence Salmond needs to set up a tinpot TV station and give him a slot to go along with his programmes on Press TV, Russia Today and that bammy Lebanese channel he had.

Comparing Scotland with either Palestine or Ireland is pretty much ridiculous. If folk on here think they were making a zinger of a point then they were way off. It was so easy for him to deflect those points.

I want Galloway to defend the corruption of Westminster politics, of which he has always been a part of. We have a chance to create something different and for him to write that off is hypocritical in the extreme. If he was to return to Scottish politics I reckon he would build a bigger presence with Respect than he has down south. PR would absolutely suit a small left-wing party - and the bomb-scare that is the Scottish Socialist project for the past 15 years shows their is a real appetite - if only someone could get it organised with a bit of credibility. Not sure if Galloway could pull that off but it would be interesting to see.

Wow I thought it was a joke when I heard that some people compare the independence of Palestine and Crimea to that of Scotland. Absolutely ridiculous.

Galloway did well in that Q&A interview but his nonsense about the Scottish electorate being somewhat pivotal in elections where Labour win is nonsense. Whenever Labour have won a majority in Westminster, they would have done so with or without the Scottish vote.

I put Galloway in the same group as Farage, they both are good speakers, believe in what they say, and both like the sound of their own voice, but they both attempt to be the "pantomime villain"

Why bring catholic into it?

He might have been raised a Catholic but the roof would fall in if he ever went to mass.

Why is his Catholicism (or lack thereof) relevant?

Part of the reason he is against independence is because the Protestants would eat the Catholics in an independent Scotland,i think.

Except he knows perfectly well that that is bollocks. The result of the referendum will have absolutely no bearing on relations between Catholics and Protestants and he knows this.

He'll back independence for any random backwater bin of an area except for a country that undoubtedly already has the infrastructure in place to make a success of going it alone. The man is a total fud.

Just as long as they don't do it on a Friday then that's okay.

Jokes aside, stop talking out yer arse.

Sorry misunderstood him.

In a recent Twitter exchange over an alleged 'sectarian' attack on Celtic manager Neil Lennon, George claimed this was further proof of Protestant-establishment power, and that the problem would only multiply with a Yes vote:
"but this element will be 12x more significant in Indy Scotland''
