An absolutely brutal set of questions. I got Dr Who, the Olympics and Kenneally right. Looking at the other questions, the only one I'm ashamed of getting wrong was the Costa Rica question. I've checked and double checked, but no scores from two of the bookie's hot tips for cup glory, cowdenO and White Rose Killie. WRK v FrankieS (7+6) As always Frankie is either top or very near the top when the scores are revealed, but WRK didn't even post a score, so FrankieS makes progress. It would have taken perfection to beat him. CowdenO v Welshbairn (4+3) Ex-League champion CowdenO transfers his prowess to the Cup and then checks out at the quarter final stages, meaning Welshbairn is in this week's semi finals. The Kincardine (5+5) v Tynieness (5+6) Superb all round consistency from the artiste formerly known as Pickled Herring, but Tynieness just edges him out in this epic pulsating, (ooh er missus), match thanks to a last minute screamer from outside the box. BIK (5+1) v Eednud (6+7) Eednud must have been wondering if he could keep up the momentum at half-time as BIK was pushing him all the way, but a couple of early sendings off in the second saw Eednud ease home as he ran in a big score. Commiserations to BIK and congratulations to Eednud on the joint highest score of the day. So, Tynieness (dressed like a gimp or not?), FrankieS, Welshbairn and Eednud are the last four standing. However, I am off to Norwayshire this weekend but I'll try and sort things before I go.
