Marshmallo Posted October 17, 2013 Share Posted October 17, 2013 After the hugely successful "Most Influential" poll and the bitching and wars which the "Worst Posters" and "Biggest Fud" polls inspired, I think it is now the time for everyone to become one big happy family again in the run up to Christmas. With that in mind I have decided we should have a "Best Posters" back patting thread. The definition of "Best Poster" can be whatever you want it to be - someone who consistently makes you laugh, someone who provides great knowledge or debate, brilliant wind up merchants, or any combination of factors you feel merit a mention. You can cast your mind back as far as you like, this will attempt to be a definitive list since the beginning of the site so including those from the past is only fair. Send me a PM of your list of your 10 favourite posters, preferably with a line or two describing why you have voted for that person in order that I can make the write ups as good as possible. Points will be allocated with 10 points going to first place, 9 to second place, and so on down to 1 point for tenth place. I've gone with 10 places so that ties and lessened throughout the list as far as possible and to give greater depth. I'll set a deadline of midnight on Halloween, with the first result posted on 1st November. Gies your lists and let's all be pals. The scoring is: 1. 10 points 2. 9 points 3. 8 points ... 10. 1 point In the event of a tie, the poster who has appeared on more different lists. If there is still a tie after this, then the poster with most 1st places will be given priority, then most 2nd places, then most 3rd places and so on. I've found a new found respect for the underpaid judges on X factor. It just shows the absolute strength of the website if witty posters like DomDom are only on the cusp of inclusion.
