Now obviously the selection of photographs might not be entirely representative but is it broadly true that this phenomenon is all set to literally die out or are there loads of young, fit and healthy marchers whose photos don't make it onto P&B but will be the tattooed, bald angry beer bellies of the future? The band that I had to walk through to cross the road in Glasgow on Saturday had a lot of young lads playing in it, and the wee baton-twirler at the front was no more than 7 or 8 years old. The kids are still being indoctrinated into the ways of the 17th century all right.

Did you cut between bands or actually walk through a band as they walked at right angles to you?

Thru the band, just for the giggles ( and I was hurrying down from Q St to catch a train at Central)

gannonball
Bigotfest is coming to Stirling this weekend I'm led to believe with marches in various areas. Cant stand the trouble they bring but I would still rather watch them than f*cking cricket to be fair.

Venti
In all seriousness. How can the sectarian bigots show their face & march after getting pumped off a pub team & exposed as tax cheats?

gannonball
It's Alloa. What's trouble by the way? Bannockburn and Fallin I'm lead to believe as well.Last time I had the pleasure of meeting the mutants in Stirling a few years they staggered out a pub on to the road and I beeped the horn to try and get past. Some refused to move so I tried to drive past them where one decided to kick my car. Police car was by there bus and decided to do f**k all about it. They weren't the hangers on either as they all their band gear on.

It's been a fascinating test match but It's had little to with Scotland I think you want the general "Cricket Thread" Although apparently "band parades" don't technically qualify as "Orange Walks" and they end up here as well so you're probably OK
