east fife for life
Shambles! Horsed out the cup at home against a team sitting 7th in the Highland league is simply not good enough! Good luck to Brora in the next round. ????
fatdoug1938
A disgraceful performance from East Fife, poor gamesmanship ie diving, feigning injury, time wasting from Brora and a totally inept team of officials led to a slightly deserved win for Brora. A strong referee and an opposing team showing determination and effort and Brora will be found out but they should enjoy their moment. Worst comment ever. Nothing any other team wouldnt have done
Ro Sham Bo
Absolutely embarrassing result. Congratulations to Young and the players for wiping out the 115 year old record, kudos. [emoji122] I think your Scottish Cup win should be rescinded after that [emoji6]
Gregor147
Well done again for winning the Scottish Cup in 1923 and 1961 or whenever it was.

Yur maw punts cooncil
Seen this coming weeks ago but the "real fan purists" can't see through Young, who is, quite simply, a car crash waiting to happen. The odd good performance and result are not good enough. No consistency at all in this team and anyone suggesting a playoff slot needs to stop smoking the shit. (unless its at the other end which is more realistic). Brora are a good side. Ask Stranraer. But even so, should have been sent home packing. IMO Young will probably keep EF up this season but your not going to see much decent football under him which really defeats the purpose of going along. A got absolutely slaughtered 3 weeks ago on here for even suggesting young was a disaster, the squad is the most uncreative a have ever seen. Apparently 3 wins in 14 games is acceptable. Young is one of the most uninspiring guys a have ever seen in management. Am glad someone is seeing what am seeing. Some folk on here have been brain damaged by to many hard winters at bayview [emoji106]

Beastie Russell
Not surprised by this, Brora were impressive at Starks in the diddy cup
smuggfifer
They couldn't take it to the Mercat, apparently wee man on top of the trophy refuses to go to Kirkcaldy for some reason. Says "av never been, so am no going back"
T-zero
Darren still has a lot to prove. I find it hard to blame him for today’s result those players on the pitch should of been able to beat Brora not sure what the manager could of done.
smuggfifer
He could have made sure they're 2 centre backs didn't have the easiest day in their life. He could have sent them out with a hunger to win the game, something similar to what Ross Tokely did. It does work sometimes. He could have said , anyone shitting out of tackles today again will be dropped and fined a weeks wages. Or he could have said to himself, you know what, we are East Fife , and we should be demanding respect from a Highland League team, let's hit them hard with 2 or 3 forwards from the start! Let them worry about us. But hey, I'm just a punter, what do I know!
T-zero
I’m sure it’s really easy to fine wages for shitting out of tackles. Drop them and play who exactly? the buck stops with Darren I know that but some of the players were very poor and some were just embarrassing.
smuggfifer
There was only 1 change to the team that beat Alloa last week. That performance was about work and bravery, and playing football. Brora and Alloa have fairly similar teams, both big , physical and both managed by defense minded management. Heart wasn't in it today, and that IS something the manager must take the blame for!
Hooper
The buck rightly or wrongly will always stop with the manager let's be honest the results aren't great
T-zero
I agree he must take the blame. As you say one change from last week and they perform like that hopefully Darren can get a few in so he can make changes and nobody is guaranteed to be in the team. On a brighter note Craig Thomson looked brilliant when he came on very direct and knows how to beat a man, not just pass backwards.
Brucelee1973
An embarrassment today..... a mid table Highland League side beating us at home...... Darren has to be in the last chance Saloon..... he has a team that should be worthy of the play offs, but he has to get them working to do it......sorry mate but it just ain’t working. We need a figure head that can get this team consistent ASAP.....
Bayviewboy
The jury is still out regarding Darren Young and his ability to motivate and get the best out of the players he has on a consistent basis. Looking at our squad, I think we have a very good core of 14 - the starting 11 from today plus, Docherty, Watson & Thomson. It’s fairly obvious that Mutch, Wilson and Willis do not come into the Managers thoughts in terms of the starting line up and they are only likely to get a few minutes on the odd occasion and are unlikely to have a major impact on the game. Any injuries or suspensions further deplete the options available which then means that players who are low on confidence or have lost form will still play. We need another 3 players who are ready to compete for a jersey not just guys to fill the bench. After going out the Cup today and losing the money the Cup Fairy may have given us will make it even more challenging to bring these players in. The lack of consistency will probably cost us a play off spot at the top and if we are not careful we could get dragged down the way. The game against Forfar next week is massive. Lose and they are only 6 points behind. Win and we go 12 points clear. Just hope the players realise that games start at 3.00 as we are too often giving teams a goal of a start.
