If there is an agreed wage and length of contract then it is most likely binding. The only way to get out a pre-contract is you have to prove the other party has breached terms of the contract. For example if a team put in a stipulation saying the player had to maintain a certain level of fitness and the players contract came into effect and they were way off it then they could cancel it. Every single season signings are announced around this time and I literally cannot think of one occasion where a player has pulled out of one.
