He was interviewed by RR in the Summer and was close to being appointed. His stock will have risen now with his good start at Methill.

Maybe I'm biased but why would he leave us when he has a nice we set up going , and he just named his assistant, if he left for Raith he would be joining a team that potentially could end up in D1 next season

Who is his Assistant ? Can't see any announcement anywhere.

Thought St Mirren were lucky to keep 10 men on the park at the first penalty. If it's a foul then he's denying a goal scoring opportunity. So that's a red card.


Is it not that double jeopardy rule now where its not a red AND a penalty or is that only when the keeper commits a foul in the box??

After a quick Google...

The previous 'triple-punishment' rule meant that a player who denied a goal-scoring opportunity was automatically red-carded and handed a suspension, as well as giving away a penalty.

However, the law has now changed so that players committing accidental fouls, that deny a goal-scoring opportunity, are not automatically sent off, but cautioned instead.
