Sons' sorrow

Oh no he didn't....Kenny's last appearance was at Boghead in a 2-1 league defeat from Aberdeen on 23rd September 1972, Davie Wilson having opened the scoring for Sons in the first half into the Turnberry end.

I was going to say this as well. I remember it well.

Carlisle said afterwards that if Kenny had scored in that game they would have paid double to get him. I think he signed for £40,000 which was a decent but not spectacular amount, in those days.

Nope, think that was a 1-0 home win over Kilmarnock courtesy of a Jim Rooney goal. I also seem to recall Killie having eleven corners in the second-half as they laid siege to the Sons goal.

You looked that up didn't you, go on admit it
