Retro at the Rock has now been announced as being moved to the Barrowland.  Anyone know if we were making any money out of this, and therefore probably now aren't?

No doubt we were previously but I assume we're not making a penny now.

It all sounds a bit shambolic from them, the reasons they gave for moving it are surely things you iron out before punting tickets to folk. I'll be astounded if it even goes ahead at the Barras given that most folk will be looking for a refund.

Only going by what I heard, the appropriate licences hadn't or couldn't be obtained. As for how much DFC were making cashwise, nobody really had a clue  YourRadio were perhaps going to be the main beneficiaries, a bit like the Xmas Party Nights last December where DFC only profited from the cost to hire of the Community Suite.

Yeah, I did wonder if part of the stadium sponsorship deal involved allowing Your Radio to put this on, or whether it was a separate development of the business relationship.

Aye, no chance we were making money off food, drink and ticket sales etc but I don't imagine we were renting out the full stadium for peanuts. The stage was due to be on the pitch which would require use of pretty much the entire place.

As BR mentioned above it may well have been part of the sponsorship deal but I'd like to think we'd have been making something out of the stadium hire.

At least the pitch wont get ruined.

Yeah, it seems to have been a bit of a shambles from the start. Great idea tbf, but the area is way too residential now to see a Music Festival happen. Wouldn't the fact that Castle Rd is also a dead-end maybe have screwed them for access & exit? We've heard that one before too regarding increasing our current crowd capacity.

Hey I've heard that this week's Lennox is a cup-final special

Quote

Yeh I heard that too. Think they've got a few smashing feature length interviews in it too. Should be worth a read framing for the grandweans

I've heard that some young, up and coming sports journalism superstar spoke to a Scottish Cup winning ex-Son in it

Is it that insufferable blonde guy who sometimes posts on here? Didn't realise he did stuff for them. I'll stick to the Reporter from now on.

I've not seen it since it was at the early stages of design, but tomorrow's Lennox should be an absolute beezer. We got three (well two and myself) actual sports journos to put together a special pull-out on the Cup final, and it looked absolutely great last week. Assuming everything went to plan we should have six or seven exclusive interviews, plus a few wee features and some other stuff.

Aye, aye, all very good.

The Reporter's giving away a Stevie Aitken face mask with every copy though :P #roonyelennox

Not sure how in depth this has been covered, but provided Froxy has really looked into flights he could definitely make it back in time for the game, had a wee look there and if he’s up for an early rise in Cyprus on Saturday morning he can be in Edinburgh airport for 1pm, someone will need to go pick him up right enough

We tried to give away Froxy masks, but IPSO decreed that it would be akin to handing out pornography.

Fully understandable.

For those of you not on Faceache, the TV cameras are going to be at The Captain James Lang at 1:00pm on Friday interviewing fans.

Or tomorrow 1pm as they have just changed it to. A Wetherspoons Tuesday 1pm squad? Farmfoods shoppers in for their 99p free refill coffee and the local jakeys. Should be quite entertaining......
