Anyway, I couldn't point to Wilson on the pitch, and don't know a great deal about what sort of player he is, but he's a midfielder (which we needed) and seems to be rated relatively highly by both Thistle and Stranraer fans, so that's good. The Moonster Posted June 26, 2017 Share Posted June 26, 2017 Hard to tell from pictures but he doesn't look too dissimilar from Stanton in his build, if he is skillful and direct then it's easy to see why we've taken a punt on him. Replacing Stirling and Stanton with players who are comfortable running with the ball (Walsh and now Wilson) is vital for us - the former players were excellent in providing a bit of rest for our defence last season and I think we'll need that again this year. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I was just looking at that photo of the old David Wilson and note it says "outside-left" above his name. It's funny how position names change over the years, you never hear someone being called an outside-left these days.
