The good thing is that we can flog him back to them. Couple of million should cover it.

This is the same club that were offered Papy Djilibodji from Chelsea for £3m, rejected it, and then signed him the next summer for £9m, so this is well within the realms of possibility tbh.

2 year deal for AJ. Bit of a gamble tbh.

That's a tremendously Fife view on it. "Aye, it will cost a lot to punt him now".

Good trolling by AJ too. 2 years for the top boys like him, Beadling and Ashcroft. 1 year if you make no secret of your "big team".

Thought it may be of interest to you all, I was listening to the Roker Report podcast last night with Sunderland's new owner Stewart Donald as the guest. His takeover of the club from Ellis Short went through yesterday and he was asked by the host if he was aware that Tom Beadling had been allowed to go to Dunfermline with no fee incoming, and SD said that he was aware that they'd lost Beadling and was very annoyed and frustrated that he was away. Seems Beadling was very highly rated at the club and if SD had his way, he'd still be a Sunderland player.

Maybe he's legit but screams of a new owner playing to the gallery.

Happy enough with AJ's new deal. Whether you're a fan or not the club has backed him for the next two seasons so can either get behind the man or chunter huffily from the sidelines.

Fairly plausible to do both, I will support the team regardless but I think a two year contract is a massive gamble, with how strong the division is next year it's conceivable we could finish 6/7th...

Still unsure about AJ because of transfer dealings but on the pitch he’s mainly got it right. The lack of midfield was down to signings or lack of.

If you took away the mid season dip we would have been second. Time to get behind the team and manager. McManus is one guy I’m really hoping signs up soon. Aird and Clark would be great but McManus is the drive for the side imo.

A PCA is like any other contract. The devil is in the detail. The majority will be legally binding, but not worth going to court over if either party breaches.

We signed Callum Elliot a few years ago on a PCA and announced it in February - he then fucked off and signed for Raith on more money. During that season he got an injury and ended his career at 28 :D

Aye, how hilarious that a guy got a career ending injury. Most chucklesome. Tee hee.

"Haha, you got a career ending injury after rejecting our no-mark club in favour of more money at a real club"

Pretty sure Elliott revealed that he was asked to sign a blank piece of paper, rather than a contract, and only actually had a verbal agreement in place? Once this became clear, Livingston stopped trying to take action, as they didn’t have a contract of employment in place with Elliott.

All jokes aside - you're an absolute scumbag.
IIRC correctly, Atlis is one of the ones who likes to pist about how funny Alan Lithgows past indiscretions are. Hardly surprising that he has no issues laughing at a career ending injury.
