DA Baracus
Johnston to be poached by United at the last minute. United to start playing their home games at East End.
DAFC.
Johnston has confirmed he is here for "a couple of seasons". So I assume he has agreed to a two year deal.

You deserve mediocrity with shambolic proceedings like that, another poor summer in store for AJ? Brilliant. What a state to get in. There’s a promotion deal on right now too - sign Clark and you get a free @Hawk thrown in. Just in case you ever need reminding what a shite player and terrible human being Clark is.

And of course you’ll have all the Falkirk fans bleating about Aird supporting Rangers. Imagine a footballer supporting a football team - utter c**t.
TheMessiah
Pars fans really are a weird bunch, we can go on long unbeaten runs or long winless runs and generally keep it fairly together on here. As soon as it's post/pre-season it's headsgone abound from all the bedwetters. Baffling.

Most of the Dundee fans on here seem to be quite rightly laughing at United tbh. Good to see it's not bothering you at all though.

I'd say being the second best team in Dundee is significantly more embarrassing tbh. I've seen Dunfermline lose 0-3 to Cowdenbeath and finish 7th in the third tier. Not being able to beat United doesn't even register on our minter scale.

Wouldn't agree with that at all tbh. 1 hour ago, MrDust said: Wasn't your manager out of contract in the summer, ideally if the captain of your ship doesn't know if he will be there, then why would contract talks happen till his position is secure. That said, the word was your manager shouldn't be there for the upcoming season not so long ago. He only confirmed us in the playoffs on the last day of the season, if we hadn't made it in he hopefully wouldn't have been offered a contract. Key players like Ashcroft, Clark and Aird should have been getting sounded out before that seing as it was fairly cut and dried that they would be kept. 1 hour ago, DAFC. said: Johnston has confirmed he is here for "a couple of seasons". DA Baracus
Perhaps Aird was offered the best we could afford and United simply offered more?

Not seen the wage mentioned anywhere and tbf that'll be hard to confirm, however it does seem the consensus that United have offered an extra year, Aird was an anomaly at this level in that we had a winger who actually had an end product. It was shite management to not play him for so long, even poorer to not try hold him for a couple of years.
101
What is going on here. Aird had a 1 year plus option of another year I assume him and his agent have pulled the plug on that pretty much nothing AJ could do. We couldn't offer contracts before we knew which league we would be in and the players arent going to sign up early when better terms might come along readily enough. Im happy that Ashcroft has signed a 2 year deal he was our best player by some way last year. Robinson and Craigen will no doubt prove useful additions. Lets all calm right down
