Quentin Taranbino Posted March 8, 2012 Share Posted March 8, 2012 Now the boy is clearly mega gifted and doing really well at Chelsea and featuring and scoringa few for their reserve team. However is anyone following the lad on twitter? Commenting on the recent under 21 match against Holland he slated sub Michael O'Halloran saying how he didnt rate him and he was only picked because his dad was a celtic youth coach.Been slating Gregg Wylde as well last couple of days. He has been told he will be involved with next under 21 squad so why is he ripping into hisfuture team mates! He refused to play for the under 17 team recently as he stated on twitter he was past that level and didnt see point in going backwards. But then he is only a 16/17 yr old kid so is it too much to expect these boys to be maturein the media? Thoughts? 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
aidan-bufc Posted March 8, 2012 Share Posted March 8, 2012 Seems like he is getting a bit too big for his boots, i'm sure someone at Chelsea will set him straight should be continue his potential. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Bully Wee Villa Posted March 8, 2012 Share Posted March 8, 2012 He sounds like a nob. But when I saw him play he looked very promising so hope he works out his problems and does well. Hopefully he won't be the next Duncan Ferguson/Steven Fletcher who strops off and refuses to play for Scotland. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Savage Henry Posted March 8, 2012 Share Posted March 8, 2012 Does seem a bit of a daft laddie. Tweeting about driving around London in an Audi despite being too young to drive seems rather stupid. But he'll grow up. Hopefully. -1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
punk_dfc Posted March 8, 2012 Share Posted March 8, 2012 Difficult one. As you say, his age suggests that it may be down to his immaturity. Footballers aren't exactly well known for their high intelligence. However, on the flipside, he might just be a dick. It is certainly suggested by his attitude to the U17s etc. Twitter gives him an avenue to voice his opinions publically and without restraint. Can only hope it is the first one though. Seems like he will be a useful player for the national team. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
McKee Posted March 8, 2012 Share Posted March 8, 2012 Acting like a nob is par for the course for a 16 year old. It's actually somewhat expected. It's probably the best thing about being a tenager tbh - there's little/no repercussions for arsehole behavior. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

#Gary Posted March 8, 2012 Share Posted March 8, 2012 Is it a real Twitter account? I'm fairly sure there were a couple of fake joke accounts set up when the Celtic fans were all going mental about him leaving. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
~~~ Posted March 8, 2012 Share Posted March 8, 2012 Hmm... not a clever move. Maybe it's satire? Who knows, he's always came across as a bit of a dick, believing his own hype. wouldnt even be surprised if he tried to switch to England in the near future. I'm just glad he ain't our problem anymore 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
I'm just glad he ain't our problem anymore Tell you another thing that photo shows. We're all getting old. I remember him barely filling up a Celtic shirt when he first turned up on the scene. Judging by that he's been bulking up since then. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
I'm just glad he ain't our problem anymore He can't play for England as far as I'm aware, only Scotland or Somalia, and surely there's no chance... * checks world rankings*... yeah, no chance he would go to them. As for him being a knob, most footballers are. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
woof! Posted March 8, 2012 Share Posted March 8, 2012 He's one of the best players of his generation - already played and scored for Chelsea reserves at 16 (not just youth team). He IS too good for the u17s and we risk losing him through poor management. That said, it works both ways, and he better screw the nut. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Unless England rip up the gentleman's agreement between the home nations, there is no way he can play for them (presuming that's what you mean by "losing him"). He only has Somali bloodline and all his education to 16 was in Scotland, so he qualifies for Scotland & Somalia. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
woof! Posted March 8, 2012 Share Posted March 8, 2012 I mean "losing him", as in, him not bothering with international football. Steven Fletcher? 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
