It's just that without Tidser, Fred and McCaffrey we're operating at about 12% capacity to put it sweetly. Show me a club in this division who wouldn't miss a player of Tidser's ability for three full months of the campaign. And their captain too for the same period of time. And Bachirou. Despite all of that we are in a far stronger position than we have been over the last three seasons at this stage in proceedings, and it is unquestionable that the current Morton side is playing better than the joke sides that Grady and to a lesser extent Irons put out week after week. We'll be relying on Ayr and one of Raith or Queens being equally shite or worse to prop us up.
