A fluke season.

Of course it was. We're just diddy wee Morton who belong to the seaside leagues, or so everyone likes to think so anyway.

How did Dobbie do for you? Maybe the top scorer but still couldn't get anywhere near the 'Ton

Aye he definitely wasn't taking the complete and utter piss with that comment

Do you just wander round this forum white-knighting SimpleTON? I'm sure he appreciates the effort.

No. But I have to concede I do enjoy having a good laugh at utter simpletons who can't spot obvious sarcasm.

Good time for a little bump I'd say.

Is it a great feeling knowing Queens chucked a huge part of their budget on Dobbie to achieve literally f**k all

Not really. Your season ended the day we came down and beat your lot 5 (yes 5) - 1 :).

My post, of course, wasn't 100% serious itself, but, not being a simpleton, you'll have been well on top of that.

Well, not quite. Without him and his goals they'd have certainly been down in shit street with ourselves and the others.

Indeed.

What would poor old Morton have given to have made a single signing so significantly positive that he could dictate which league they'd get to play in next season?

Alas, they'd nobody like that and instead saw their once promising season slither away into embarrassing failure.  A blindingly awful run of form, culminating in an absolute horsing in the play-offs.

It was actually 5-0, but I can see why you've got 5-1 in your head.

Bump. It is a belated farewell to one of the thread's most regular set of participants - the gormless Raith Rovers' fanbase - after their team got relegated to the seaside leagues by an Angus bumpkin outfit in their own, horrible midden. Here's some of the gems that we are going to miss when they're going to Methil and Stranraer next season:

Good to see Morton fans resorting to the 'it's a shite league' line of defence. Less frequently used than the 'aye but both teams were shite' argument people use after a defeat but equally effective as an indicator of sour grapes. Brilliant

The boys of '22 will be birling in their graves. Sad times for the big team. Hopefully Kenny Shiels can cheer them up with his folksy wisdom.
