The General Ross County Chat Thread

Recommended Posts

Jim has had long enough and certainly enough finances to bring in players he feels are capable, (I assume) of pushing for a top 6 spot. The brand of football we play is not attractive nor is it effective. He continuously saves his bacon every season by going on a reasonable run in the latter part of the season when things are looking bleak. He does not learn from his mistakes. He finds winning formulaes then changes them come the start of the next season. Its getting boring

I've bolded those I feel have been a success. A few I've left unbolded which were near things- Foster, Draper, Dow, Kenny, Bachmann (who looked excellent in what little time he got)

I was having a think to mysel the day, how much will it take for McIntyre to get the boot. I feel at this rate if we were bottom of the league at xmas he would probably still be in a job. The football he plays is boring and brings negative results. I don't know why Roy sticks with him. He brought a league cup and a top six finish, but what else? I think it's time for fresh blood.

Jim McIntyre has basically done far better and far worse than expected.  I guess that balances itself out to doing just about as well as expected.

Winning the League Cup is beyond anything I ever expected the club to achieve.  I think he'll be treated well by history.
