Leighfield was solid enough again wasn’t he?

I’ve got sympathy for Martin’s injury situation but surely Leighfield deserves some more game time.

When he was about to come on on Saturday GN said to him “it’s a difficult game to come into, just go and do your best.”

Doesn’t suggest he’s confident in him. Tbh it irked me a bit, surely it should be more along the lines of “we’ve got every confidence in you, go and take your chance lad!”

(St Mirren tv which I was watching live had a guy near the dugout.)

I love that fact that the young lad came on with a big smile on his face. Great to see.

As a Saints supporter I've seen the good and the bad from QOS over the years.  IMO Jimmy Miller was the best RB , but Tony Connell runs him close and he was a great servant for us too.

Best two QOS performances I've witnessed would be these !

Fergie was appointed two weeks later and we never looked back , even winning at Palmerston the same season !

Is it a fiver for everyone, not just those at the original game? Depending what I'm doing I may come along to cheer you on. Not that I've any hidden agenda for you winning :)

How many of the advertisers can you still spot on the High Street? J Edgar for one...

(This is only the fifth programme the club ever produced, so they did well to fill it with advertisers)

Not on the High Street but businesses still going include:

Barbours (still a sponsor now)

White Hart Hotel

Queensberry Hotel (though it was closed for a good few years)

Also note John Low of Castle Douglas in there. That only closed recently and Drew Low is still an active sponsor and volunteer at the club.

Very interesting links there. In the 1974 match I assume that Saints must have been on a very poor run to only attract a home crowd of 1400. Once Fergie came in I recall Saints getting some magnificent crowds including being involved in a Xmas Day away fixture at Clydebank which was a sell out.

I think this is fantastic. £5 to see Dobbie and co. With it being against Dundee utd, who are likely to bring a decent following, this could be a relatively big crowd or biggest of the season. I am of course predicting a larger than normal home crowd due to the reduced pricing. 1500 - 2000 home fans along with maybe a 1000 utd fans.

Stu and any other neutral fans are more than welcome I'm sure. The more the merrier.

On a Tuesday night? The total crowd won't be more than 1600.
