PALMYLAD
The guy could walk into any bottom half club in the top flight and probably a couple higher than that. 26 goals (sure that's his tally) for a side who have been average at best this season is an incredible return. Imagine if he was in a side like Hibs in this league? That's right mate 26 goals so far for Dobbie . 19 league goals & 7 in the cups
NM_1919
I've previously stuck up for him, but serious question marks over mercer after yesterday. Think he's out his depth, too many errors, causes the equaliser. Thought tapping done well in his brief cameo, just don't think we can gamble on him
Stellaboz
Do Queens fans think it's difficult for you to sign players due to location? Genuine question, I've always seen Queens as a club that could pull in a couple of good players but struggle in competition against more centrally based teams. -

Possibly, but only due to having to travel to home games. We train at Broadwood, so that part of it shouldn't be an issue.
Skyline Drifter
I know Palmylad updated the goals table yesterday but just to update the total stats one: 1 - Jim Patterson, 251 goals in 462 appearances, 1949 - 1963 2 - Bobby Black, 120 goals in 346 appearances, 1952 - 1961 3 - Andy Thomson, 114 goal in 196 starts (35 sub) appearances, 1989 - 1994 & 2006 - 20074 - Derek Lyle, 109 goals in 254 starts (75 sub) appearancs, 2002 - 2004, 2004 - 2006 & 2012 - Current 5 - Jocky Dempster, 98 goals in 342 starts (13 sub) appearances, 1970 - 1979 6 - Tommy Bryce, 95 goals in 283 starts (14 sub) appearances, 1985 - 1987, 1994 - 1998 & 1999 7 - Stevie Mallan, 94 goals in 233 starts (32 sub) appearances, 1993 - 2000 8 - Tommy McCall, 93 goals in 264 appearances, 1925 - 1934 9 - Ian Reid, 89 goals in 192 starts (5 sub) appearances, 1973 - 1978 10 - Jimmy Robertson, 89 goals in 378 starts (22 sub) appearances, 1979 - 1987 & 1989 - 199311 - Stephen Dobbie, 81 goals in 128 starts (17 sub) appearances, 2007 - 2009, 2016 - Current 12 - Jackie Oakes, 81 goals in 457 appearances, 1936 - 1947 & 1951 - 1960 13 - Iain McChesney, 79 goals in 587 starts (28 sub) appearances, 1961 - 1982 14 - Rowan Alexander, 78 goals in 165 starts (18 sub) appearances, 1978 - 1983 & 1995 - 1998 15 - Billy Houliston, 74 goals in 155 apearances, 1945 - 1952 16 - Jackie Law, 71 goals in 226 appearances, 1936 - 1948 17 - John O'Neill, 70 goals in 143 starts (52 sub) appearances, 2001 - 2003 & 2005 - 2008 18 - Lex Law, 68 goals in 316 starts (18 sub) appearances, 1964 - 1975 19 - Jimmy Rutherford, 66 goals in 65 appearances, 1930 - 1934 20 - Willie Dougan, 65 goals in 88 appearances, 1922 - 1925 Stephen Dobbie's season ending burst of goals has now moved him through to 11th on the all time list ahead of Iain McChesney and Jackie Oakes. Big gap ahead to Jimmy Robertson now of 8 goals. 11th was always as far as he was realistically going to get this season. He needs 19 more to become the 5th player to score 100 goals for the club.
Rjc-1988
I've previously stuck up for him, but serious question marks over mercer after yesterday. Think he's out his depth, too many errors, causes the equaliser. Thought tapping done well in his brief cameo, just don't think we can gamble on him Agree on both counts. The only way to possibly retain Tapping is on a pay per play contract - surely no way that we can contemplate the risk of a third consecutive injury ravaged season on a full contract? To a lesser extent it is the same issue with Hilson - by all means give them a chance to stay but on terms that don't seriously disadvantage us if history repeats itself. Alternatively if another FT club is prepared to offer either or both an unconditional contract then we sincerely wish them well as they have endured horrendous bad luck with injuries.
kirkyblue2
Would it be worthwhile to have card machines for buying match tickets? Just a random thought I had.

If you are talking about Palmerston we already do in the Arena ticket office and in both the Shop and the match office. No card machines in the Rosefield offices but that would never be worthwhile on the usage.

Ok thanks, I've never seen them being used to buy match tickets.

Fae_the_'briggs
I was a bit sceptical of the story anyway, not because Sandler was in Dumfries or that he wasn't recognised, but saying he had a decent pizza here was a bit of a giveaway.

I agree. I also don't think it's even his best for the season. I think both his goals against Falkirk at Palmerston early season were better. Possibly one against Raith hit on the volley too.
19QOS19
It's probably my favourite tbh. His bended shot against Falkirk at Palmerston was a topper but I do like to see a goal where a player takes on a handful of players alone. The wee nutmeg being the icing on the cake. Having said that I'd have to say Dickson or Coulibaly (v Sellick) were probably more deserving. I assume there was a Falkirk fan on the committee? Absolutely no way Leahy meant that
Dumfries Boy(new acc)
Still voted for dobs though
Swarley
Still voted for dobs though So did I and I can't even view the goal as the video "isn't available in my region". Which is the problem with letting the public vote on these things. It's not about what one is best it's about who is the most popular.
