Hilson is a player I like but if he isn't offered a new contract I can't say I'd be furious. We've barely seen him due to injury and it's surely a risk for a club our size to offer him another year's deal given his record. If you could guarantee his fitness I'd obviously have him signed up asap. Similarly I can't see Tapping appearing in a QoS jersey again unfortunately.

But if these two players leave us in the summer you can guarantee they'll have a successful injury free season elsewhere

I think Gavin Reilly will end up being the most obvious signing we ever make this summer. He is just what we need and we are just what he needs.

Yes I wouldn't be surprised if we went for Gavin - probably a good move for both parties.

In terms of central defence I would be tempted to go for DUFC's Col Donaldson. He is completely out of favour at Tannadice but he is a talented guy who got a big move to QPR from Libby which didn't work out but he has time on his side and can play a bit from the back. We could do a lot worse than get him on board.

As I recall the same fans absolutely slaughtered Mark Durnan last year and at the start of this season but now seem to think he is a decent player comparatively speaking. Donaldson may well have regressed but I saw him a lot at Livvy before he earned his QPR move and I find it very hard to believe that he has suddenly become a player that couldn't do a decent job for a mid table Champ side.

He wasn't good at Livingston either and QPR signing him looks more and more each day like the act of an agent getting a favour from Harry Redknapp.

Just a crazy idea I'll throw out there, maybe we could  get behind all the players and staff.

Wonder if Saturday's result and performance, which was a lot better than of late, will help?

Difference between 5th and 6th last year was £211,000 compared to £189,900
Unsure about this year but don't think it would be too different
