The Falkirk FC Thread

Quite creepy the St Mirren fans obsession over Loy on this thread. Like restrained order creepy.

Nah, think it was more or less confirmed in first game of the season our feelings for Loy when he was roundly applauded off when subbed.

The mocking is directed mainly at the contingent of Falkirk fans (admittedly not all...several did voice concerns) who lorded it up at beating us to the punch in signing him, proving how much more of a draw they are but ignoring that it was at the expense of using up a whack of budget and failing to strengthen in several key areas.

If Houston's interview was bad was McKee might have been even worse. He looked like he would rather be just about anywhere else on earth than in front of that camera and didn't seem able to actually put a sentence together.

Gasparottos wasnt much better, its either a confidence thing or a Houston thing either way if not for Houston for the fans they want to get the finger out and turn it around as there is no excuses.

Nah that would be the signings of Harris, Kerr, miller and shepherd.

Just as a long shot here but say he does turn it around then what ?,

We/he shouldn't be in a position were anything is in need of being turned around. That is one of my chief gripes. We start another season playing catch up, a season that we have been told is 'our time' [emoji15] and here we are once again needing to turn things around after a piss poor start.

Add this to the sheer number of games that we have had to come from behind last season & the season before that. How many times were subs needed to redress the starting selection or long range throws to get us back into a game? Too many!

So we perform better/win against Sligo & Brechin and all is forgotten? If we do that we will once again be back in the same situation and this forum will once again become FFC post-mortem Groundhog Day. Cut and paste previous meltdowns and rants time and time again. Definition of stupidity/insanity been used on here before but maybe should become our new motto, sadly more appropriate than Expect the Unexpected.

He did see Falkirk as a bigger catch. That doesn't stop the rest of the team being dug meat. The obsession is strong, I know he's a good looking chap but he doesn't need male stalkers from Paisley asking about him constantly, very odd behaviour.

Don't tease me.

I'm only teasing, he's only missed our last two squads through injury..

We've an injury prone 35yo CM if that's something you're lacking?

Unless I've got it wrong (there is a good chance of that) it seems like the overwhelming majority on here are agreement that time is up for Houston. What's next?

Just sit & hope the board suddenly grow a pair?

Is there anything that we fans can do?

A few boos at the end of the game maybe not enough. Houston seems to be the Teflon King in terms of any scrutiny from his media chums.

We as fans constantly do our bit but has the constant disappointment created an apathetic support?

Lots of questions & not sure there are satisfactory answers. Also maybe overreacting but fucking hell they don't have test you. Could be worse I guess, could be an Arsenal fan! [emoji23]

Not sure that constantly deluding yourselves into thinking that dross like Joe McKee are quality Championship players counts as 'doing your bit' tbh.
