The Falkirk FC Thread

Luton still interested in Sibbs, says he is receiving treatment for a Hip injury which kept him out the Luton friendly, think the club is doing the right thing over this but all seems a bit up in the air and dont seem to be any closer to knowing if his future will be with us or elsewhere:

See Inverness drew with a team we beat comfortably 4-1. Not a bad sign. And Baird misses his penalty in the penalties after the draw. If we get a draw or win up there Saturday looking very good for the league cup

In fairness to us, it was all us and we would probably have won but for strong Goalkeeping from Stirling GK and better finishing so I wouldn't be too cocky!!

Whoever wins this will likely qualify for knockout stage with loser relying on being best runner up.

In fairness to us had it not been for poor finishing and the Stirling GK on Saturday we would have scored 10.

Shocking result for ICT but not surprising TBH.

I thought he made a fantastic save from O'hara before Miller hit the bar. Seemed no too bad but the rest of the team were shite.

Ok I'm lost.

Luton claim Sibbs got injured and want another look at him.

Yet we are supposed to have him on a monthly rolling contract and he's supposed to be training with us.

WTF?????

Watched the highlights of the young lads last night. Great run by Conor Langton to set up the first goal and he scored the second. The lad seems to have some pace. Not sure about our 'keeper Mutch, looked dodgy to say the least. Hopefully just nerves in his first game for the club.

He's training with you until hes fit, and then he'll return to Luton and play in a friendly or two before they decide on him. The "rolling contract" chat is shite.

That's what I'd be guessing is what's happening with him.

Seems we are all fucking guessing.

Also why train with FFC?

If he's fit enough why no train wi bloody Luton?

Cant help notice that Luton are giving us more information on a player they have on trial with them than FFC are giving us on a player we fans consider to be a bit of a hero.

This is why you get all the stupid rumours in the 1st place.

This will be the board protecting an asset. Whilst he's not our player we are still entitled to a decent sum for him if he signs for another club. Once he gets fit and plays in a trial for them who knows what will happen if Luton don't fancy him.

Can't help but feel that Sibbald is really taking the piss now though. He goes on trial with Luton and gets injured . He comes back to us and uses our facilities to get fit again so he can then go back and have another chance with Luton.  He's been a good player and servant for us and good luck to him  if he moves on but at the moment we're pushing the boat out a bit much for him. Let him and his agent sort things out first and then if he signs a contract with us get him back into training etc. We shouldnt be getting him fit for someone else.
