Salvo Montalbano
Cummings has pulled out the TT (to be replaced by Geoghan Hart - sp?). Seems he was upset about being told he was going to be in the Road Race team (which would make sense as he's an option for a solo breakaway) and so hadn't been training on his TT bike or anything. Seems to be another bit of a farce from British Cycling - he was similarly pissed off last year at not making the Olympic team before being selected as a reserve.

kiddy
U23 ITT was obliterated by an 18 year old Dane. Bout 1.30 up on everyone else.
peasy23
Froome takes bronze in the World Road Race TT, Tom Dumoulin takes the rainbow jersey after blowing the field away, almost a minute up on second placed Primoz Roglic and 1.21 ahead of Froome. Difficult conditions in heavy rain, final climb was a sore one.
kiddy
Froome riding both ITT & TTT at the World Champs.Got the feeling Dumoulin will be fresher, having forgone the Vuelta. As I said.
Salvo Montalbano
Some year for the pair of them. Two grand tours (plus 2 bronze medals in the TTs) for Froome, a grand tour and 2 golds in the Time Trials for Dumoulin. Hopefully the Tour course suits him a bit more next year and we can have a showdown with the other big guns in the mix.
Bishop Briggs
Dumoulin told reporters that he took some corners easy because the roads were slippy. He beat Froome by 1 minute 21 seconds overall and 30 seconds on the climb! That was an incredible performance even though Froome would have been tired after winning a very tough Vuelta.
kiddy
Watching Eurosport, Rohan Dennis clearly had come off (dropped 30 secs & knee was bleeding).
kiddy
Think, following this season's performance's, fans will be more looking to a GT collision between these two, than that of a challenge from Quintana.
printer
Think, following this season's performance's, fans will be more looking to a GT collision between these two, than that of a challenge from Quintana. Definitely. Dumoulin provides a different challenge; better in a TT and so Froome will need to take time off him in the mountains. Will he interesting to see how Sunweb position themselves for next season to give Tom support for the Tour, assuming that's what he goes for.
Salvo Montalbano
Quintana will likely be at the Giro and/or Vuelta I would imagine. Landa leading Movistar at the Tour would add some spice and would be interesting to see.
Sarto Mutiny
Cookson out on his ear. https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2017/sep/21/brian-cookson-uci-presidency-david-lappartient-cycling David Lappartient has spoken in the past about his intention to properly police the murky issue of motors in cycling. peasy23
Sagan takes his 3rd rainbow jersey on the trot, in a photo finish with Norway's Alexander Christophe. Just watching the highlights, That's a scary fast descent, would have been carnage if the road had been wet.
peasy23
First time Sagan's name was mentioned was about 500m to go, led the race for about 10m at the only point that mattered. He should do it next year like this.
