Using my wife's boss' rubarb last night I made crumble. Using butter, flour and sugar and boilng the root veg I created something beatiful.

Served with either Aldi custrard or Elmlea it was something to behold.

First attempt at onion bhaji coated scotch egg, tastes as good as it looks.

Technically?  Well done and that took some skill.  I admire you.  Taste-wise, semi-soft eggs have no place in Anglo-Indian cuisine unless one's making kedgeree.

What if I replace sausagemeat with a fish/ rice mixture ? kedgeree scotch egg !

You'd have to be careful to gently crush Basmati rice (rather than turn it in to a paste) and ensure you used smoked haddock AND had a good blend of spices.  I'd also use rice flour as the coating rather than breadcrumbs.

Otherwise?  I'd say that would be genius.  Masterchef levels of competency and I'd certainly buy it.

I think you just invented a new dish, bud.

Just annihilated a large Bargain Bucket from Kfc. Washed down with an ice cold Coca Cola Zero.

Could get used to this retirement lark.

You won't be retired long with a diet like that........you'll be dead!
