Cue:
2 weeks before kick off: Getting reminded to get your ticket before
1 week before kick off: another reminder that it's allocated seating and you better get a ticket
24 hours before kick off:cash gate announced
In queue for turnstiles: steward reminding us it's no longer allocated seating
15:10: not being able to see because some fat b*****d is moaning someone's in his seat in the row in front

Kenny McIntyre on BBC Sportsound tonite was doing an article on coaching youngsters etc

One of his guests/pundit was, you wouldn't believe it,  Gary Locke

What does he know about coaching football to any age group ?

Nothing short of Hee Haw, or in other words Sweet FA

He's not a good manager. He does, however, have a decent reputation as a coach.

Just ask Jamie Walker and Sam Nicholson..

how come then he managed to coach RRFC into the precarious position we find ourselves in ?

it seems even Yogi can't uncoach what Locke and Jackson did to the squad ? (or most of it, half decent players turned into average players)

I think it's probably more a confidence thing rather than bad coaching - a series of bad results saps confidence out sides and is something that can't be coached back in. In a rare moment of not blaming someone/something else, Locke himself acknowledged this not long before his jotters were delivered to him.

That's just one aspect but the other problem we have is twofold: we have a poorly balanced squad and some of the players just aren't good enough. The blame for this rests entirely with Gary Locke.

None of this makes Locke a bad coach, even if he is an absolutely terrible manager.

Hughes is still "hopeful" according to the FFP  but any signing would depend on Lennox having his loan terminated.

Hughes also cautioned that we wouldn't be able to bring in a "top, top player" but it would be someone capable of creating some competition for places.

So pretty unlikely, then.

This is exactly how things will pan out. Every time.

Doesn't look likely that we'll be bringing anyone in before close of play tomorrow, does it?

Tade's taken himself on twitter. Unsure if I'll get a restraining order for a heart-bleeding message on instagram tbh.

Ross Matthews in this week's FFP.

He has found current boss, John Hughes, to be the most demanding. “Training is different, much harder,” he said. “He demands a lot and is constantly on your case, but he’s just trying to improve us. “It can be a bit in your face at times but I know he’s just trying to help. He’s got that old school style and that’s what we need at the moment. We need a good kick.”

Bullying allegations to follow?

Whatever happened to John McVeigh?
