throbber
Furthermore you could argue a Sydney winter is on a par with a British summer. It really isn’t though. The sun has set by 5 o clock in June/July in Sydney and it doesn’t feel summery at all, you can still tell it’s winter time even if the temperature can reach 20 degrees during the day.

Because they're not called the Summer Olympics; just "The Olympic Games" so you could have them any time you want.

Bairnardo
X rays.... When you get referred for one, it takes 7-10 days to get results back off the GP. Is he the only person that interprets said xray or has it been past other folk first?

They get passed round all the radiology staff first, and the porters.
Bairnardo
No it will either be read by a trained radiologist and or a doc at hospital. Your Gp will just get the results. So a sinister result is unlikely to be left for a week before waiting till the GP can be arsed then?

If they don't think you'll last the week, they won't waste money on a call.

DA Baracus
Where did the stock 'punch in the face sound in films come from? It sounds nothing like the real noise. Why did they persist with it for so long (much rarer these days to hear it).

Axing a cabbage covers most of the sound effects in Hollywood.

A horror of sorts in the style of the old Italian Giallo stuff. Set around a sound studio where they add the effects to heads getting splatted etc.
Shandon Par
Rough today. Have a heavy Saturday planned too. A string of birthdays in Feb (with Valentines in the middle) makes fora tough spell for the liver/innards. Have decided to go booze free, sweets free, crisps free and also become veggie for March. Are there any other things I should be giving up for the full on tree-hugger effect? Stop shaving?

It'll be more fun for you and everyone else. Edited February 22, 2018 by KnightswoodBear
