I have been to quite a few away games since Shire dropped into the Lowland League. The Bonnyrigg fans were the most blinkered, mean spirited, unwelcoming, rude and ignorant bunch I have come across. I felt very uncomfortable and threatened standing anywhere near them. Horrible.

On yesterday's performance, Andy Rodgers is a class above everyone in this league. A joy to watch.

What's the record for consecutive defeats? And if EK lose to Stranraer on penalties will they be claiming a draw?

Statement from EKFC: although on the face of it it might look like our run of wins has come to an end, we have to remember we play Spartans twice in the season. As far as we are concerned this is the first leg of a two legged match and as long as we win in April by 2 goals we will have preserved the run. Can we have some more beer please Ajax?

Have to recognize that Glasgow, Grant, Sludden, Rodgers are all strikers. The midfield is bound to be a bit threadbare, exposing the defence, with them all going forward!

I wasn't there on Saturday but from the facebook pages there seems to be a lack of euphoria compared to say winning away at Annan or Queens Park last season. Kind of recognition that we're not that good! Grant and Rodgers look really good but the defence is shakey. That team with Fisher and Buist at the back and Connor at full back would look pretty formidable. Looking to replace Fisher and Buist pretty quickly I think.Things will become clearer on Saturday. From the Youtube footage it looks a bit like playing a pub team on a public park. It's difficult to take a game that has 10 goals in the first half seriously. Coats for goalposts anyone?

If it is the case that it's a fine rather than losing points, don't get upset when East Stirlingshire decide to spend any money they get on cancelling the boxing day game. Couple of key players over indulge on Christmas day and don't fancy it especially as Livi as full timers have been training all Christmas day. Phone call at 2.30 saying sorry we can't make it. Perhaps the answer is embedded in one of the 500 odd pages of postings (and please don't start another dicussion about whether it was cancelled by the league or not!!!) but are the league due to meet to discuss any punishment for the first game of the season between East Stirlingshire and Livi not happening? Or is it no longer on the agenda? Just interested.
