People rattle away on a computer keyboard at a rate of 60 words a minute and only 2 words pop up on the screen. Usually a few seconds later.

Caught The Wedding Singer on 5star. Great nonsense, cheesy in parts but with the tongue firmly in the cheek.

I can vaguely remember a non musical version being shown on telly about 50 years ago

The TV drama Unforgotten has this plot. A young black boy was murdered in the 70s and his body found 50 years later in the basement of a derelict building. The story flashes back and forth and a cold case team try and solve tbe case. It stars the excellent Nicola Walker and Sanjeev Bhaskar

I have always liked this film in particular the opening scenes and steampunk technology.

The latest Aldi ad where wee lass licks the plate to clean it is a belter. -
Recently rewatched Exorcist 3. Although it did go on a bit during the 'exorcism' scene in the cell, Scott is excellent throughout.

Those scenes, the systematic dismemberment of Murphy are blood curdling.

Alien Resurrection. I first saw this at the pictures and thought it was ok, maybe because I dragged the missus to it I was feeling a bit guilty cause I wouldn't go and see her rom com films. It is still only ok.

Kirk's death scene in Star Trek Generations.

I watched the first two episodes of Trial by Media. I was really looking forward to the series but to be honest it was somewhat lacklustre and half way through the second episode I was willing for it to end.

Please avoid Ray Liotta's recent films to avoid gross disappointment.

Best Movie/Television Characters - An Idea

Michael Bluth must be in there. In fact any character played by Jason Bateman deserves to be in the top 20. -

That's been on a few times before - really well put together documentary. Is it 3 parts? The details of what early doctors and scientists are really gruesome and we have a lot of today's medicine from trial and error experiments. It is over 3 parts. The first featuring the development of anesthetics and pain killers is fascinating. -

No that was Pus, Pus, Pus on OFFOTV*. -
Excellent films., so much so that you don't mind the subtitles. Although Rec 3 is a daft wedding caper Rec 4 wraps up the story well. Or does it? One of my colleagues is a Mormon and a few years back I gave him a pirated disc of Rec 2 (yes it was that long ago). He gave it back the next day and apologised for not watching it due to the demonic slant the storyline took. The US Quarantine 2 remake went off in a different direction .

Pain, pus and poison on bbc4. A blinder of a documentary. -

Brilliant artist. I used to watch this years ago, I think it ran on channel 4. Unless the programme has been expertly edited, he appears to run up a classy painting in half an hour. -
If it is in the club's official title I can't see the problem. Some clubs have historical titles that have no bearing to them nowadays, Hamilton Academical being an example.

League Reconstruction 20/21 season
glassnahalf replied to Sinner-to-Saint's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
Have a 14 team Premier Division by all means but split it into Premier A and Premier B sections. The A section would be limited to Glasgow clubs and B the rest. The Bigot brothers could then play each other every other week and Sky would be creaming their y-fronts at the prospect. -
Innocence Files. Watched up to part 3 and the catalogue of miscarriages of justice is jawdropping.

The old mother in law stayed with us for a number of years and she latched onto the telly during the day and watched all these zombiefying quiz (??) shows. ITV must believe in them because they are all repeated later in the day and through the night. The only time itv is on in our house now is when the missus watches Corrie.
