  1. Hopefully we get the Andreu that played under Alex Neil. I can remember what he was like after Alex Neil left, he was an absolute ghost. Really hoping for the best though, but I'm not getting over excited by his return.
  2. I’m sure I remember watching Blair Adams getting a run of games for us a few seasons ago. He was preferred over our young players because he had extensive experience in the English Lower leagues. Passed the ball to the opposition at every opportunity and was exceptionally poor.
  3. I think Maitland is a decent guy and worthy of the appointment, but whether you entirely trust them or not it must be said that McDonald and Gray have been excellent for the club and have been pivotal in Accies staying in the top league in recent years. Hopefully all 3 keep involved with club for years to come [emoji1360]
  4. Don't forget what a fantastic piece of business this was for us, and the timing of it! This sting took years to come to fruition and I still can't believe that Rangers fell for it . (The most expensive new-strip model that they've ever had!)
  5. We’re really going to miss Temps this season, let’s hope Canzo can find a replacement fast!
  6. Very nearly were relegated without any help from Andy Ryan. Luckily United were even more piss-poor than us.
  7. Andy Ryan up for grabs now that Airdrie are going part-time. St Mirren rumoured to be in for him.
  8. Redmond is a very gifted wee player who can spot a pass. When he's fit and in the mood, he is one of Accies best midfielders without a doubt. Unfortunately, for long periods of a season he will be either injured or off form. Docherty has plenty of running in him, and seems to be a favourite among the Accies hierarchy, but his weakness is that he gives the ball away far too much and his shooting is woeful. If Dunfermline can find a wee bit of money, I think both would acquit themselves well in the Championship.
  9. Gutted for Mikey, really nice guy and good player too. I'm sure he'll be back stronger than ever after Christmas, he'll have plenty of support. 2nd time getting the same injury on that pitch, hopefully that's just a coincidence. Accies will miss him.
  10. Devlin's been excellent for most of the season and should be our mainstay in central defence alongside the more erratic, but capable Sarris. Jesus would have been great back-up for these two, with his strength, vision and passing ability (even towing his caravan). Not sure what stage of recovery he is at though. Seabourne was also handy in case of emergency, but not given many chances during his short stay. Watson and McMann are both natural full backs, and should be played as such in a back four. Watson is more technical and also better in the air than McMann and communicates much better, which makes Watson a good stand-by for central defence. McMann though is excellent at getting forward and carrying the ball into the oppositions half, if the ball is played in front of him, at his best when keeping it simple. Skondras is a decent, if limited full back, but will always play before Watson because of the pay structure at Accies, As far as Adams goes, I'd imagine that he was a panic buy, I really fail to see any good points in his play. Hopefully he improves though, he can't play so poorly giving the ball away all the time. Donati is a good all rounder for defence or midfield as long as he isn't overused, sometimes looks tired in games. I'm sure there'll be major changes in personnel should Accies go down!
  11. I see over on accies twitter that Darren Lyon has earned himself a new contract. Nice boy that he is, it's great to have "contacts"
