  1. Went from row RR right down the stairs, and pretty sure I still ended up celebrating with @Hank Scorpio. Thoroughly enjoyed the Dundee fans on the way up to the station calling Rovers cheats that day. The Scott Brown goal vs United earlier this season was very similar in that it came about from a quick restart catching the opposition off guard.
  2. Sent off Dick vs Hibs earlier this season, oversaw our bodying of Motherwell last season and was in charge for the 4-4 draw against Hamilton two seasons ago. A very mixed bag of games there.
  3. Next week will be a year since Hamilton came to Starks Park and took another smash and grab 2-1 win to end our season. That was a week after they'd been absolutely rode by Dundee.
  4. There'll be an absolute bodying here if they win the league dropping no points. Get this deleted man.
  5. Still maintaining we're playing with house money. Great opportunity, no doubt but nobody expected this back in August. We've played over half the games this season with a centre mid as a deputy centre back. Ridiculous position to be in.
  6. That's pretty much it. Prior to 2009, there would've been a few Pars fans who wouldn't have seen us play in a derby. There'll be some teenage Dunfermline fans who have seen your club play us far more than Falkirk. It's much like how the derbies against East Fife evaporated after 1989 through to 2008. You'll find some Rovers fans who had that as a staple. Now it's absolutely irrelevant. It's all a good laugh, and I've enjoyed us winning so many derbies this season. In one season Murray must've equalled McGlynn's record.
  7. He's definitely got that in him. He actually hit the bar from one in his last appearance for us against Queens Park (I think) in injury time.
  8. Easton, Watson, Thomson, Dick, Matthews, Ross, McGill, Millen, Corr, McNeil and Masson. The last 6 will likely be away - McNeil might get offered a deal as a back up keeper. Millen had a dispute with Murray which led to him training on his own. Thomson is our goalkeeping coach so that might impact things too. I'd expect Easton will either re-sign with us or go to a top flight club. Naturally, he'll be waiting until the season is over before signing a new deal. Ironically, he's not performed as well after the game at Tannadice where he started getting linked heavily with a move to the top flight. Watson has been out with injuries for most of the season so I'm unsure if we'll offer him a new deal. Dick is a consistent left back but I can't see Falkirk needing that with McCann. I'd hope we offer Matthews a new deal. He's been superb since coming back from a long term recurring injury. Transfermarket has Sam Stanton listed out of contract, but he signed a new long term deal in December.
  9. People completely forget Josh Mullin had two of the best chances in the game in the first half. One went just past the post and the other was a one on one. United had a lot of possession but I can't really recall them doing too much until after we got our second goal when Dabrowski was forced into a good save. With that said, I've not watched the highlights since the weekend after the game.
  10. In fairness, Arbroath have put in two 15 minute spells to get 4 points in games where we've dominated. If we're talking about bogey teams, Airdrie fully deserve that mantle. Pretty much every Rovers fan is sick of the sight of them.
  11. A security diktak makes no sense given we filled the stand earlier in the season with no issues. United shat the bed.
  12. A general worship of Lewis Vaughan, the ticket farce from United and McStay/Dargo.
  13. It's fine, we'll just put out that video of Jack Hamilton sliding into Sunday. Goodwin was still greeting about it a week after in the Courier.
  14. I believe we should have the Shed because we filled it with ease the first time around we "won the league back in December".
  15. They released the middle three blocks then gradually added others as demand grew. Naturally, there was a big surge when the buses offer came up.
  16. They'll cut off the section which is up on the left. A really farcical decision - there are people claiming it's due to "segregate" from the home fans, I'm spite of the fact there was no bother at the first game, and that you're literally walking past hundreds of United fans on Tannadice Street. All this will do is drive away fans into the home end which is a far worse alternative. Nobody wants for that to happen, so the sensible solution is for them to open up the rest of the stand.
  17. We're in the Shed. United have bricked it after December.
  18. Callum played for Albion Rovers last night too btw. It's a testimonial - we're literally going to do a podcast tomorrow and I'll not be looking into it that much. All about the occasion, not the game.
  19. Hibs will likely do preseason overseas, and might have European football next season too. The alternative is that they're in the league cup. Next Saturday likely wouldn't have been an option given the date will have been pencilled in before we'd been knocked out the challenge cup. It's a real shame.
  20. Changing the pitch at Starks was an absolutely brilliant decision. Before it, we had issues dating back to the 90s with the construction of the North and South Stand which meant that no who was in charge of groundskeeping, the pitch would turn into a mess in the winter. The switch to an artificial surface allowed for the community foundation to turn Starks into an important feature in the local area. We've gone from seeing the stadium barely used to being open 7 days a week. It's undoubtedly helped introduce many local youngsters to the club. Funnily enough, there was never any noise about our pitch until this season when you've got clowns like Tam McManus trying to claim that it's not fit for purpose with absolutely no justification whatsoever. Certainly there should be a minimum standard for the pitches. At the moment (much like grass pitches) some are clearly better than others.
