A shame indeed! Significant amount of investment has been put into trying to fix the problem but I've been told all the problems stem from the drainage and the burn 20 yards away from the pitch - I'm also led to believe Merksworth is one of the lowest points in Dalry if not the lowest!

Only chance of getting the game on as Merksworth is an absolute shambles. The news hasn't gone down great in Dalry either - A 40-50 minute drive for us and it's looking like our home games will be there for the next couple of months.

I cannot wait!

Our new manager will be doing a full new rebuild I've been told, it's not ideal this close to the season. It's a disaster really. I wish Gavin all the best at Kilwinning. An absolute Icon and Hero to a generation of Dalry fans.

I'm not in the know of that information. I'd imagine a lot of the players will be staying and the players leaving will be replaced with similar players.

I dont see why Dalry couldn't get an u20 team - Many of the boys that attend Dalry games on a Saturday are 18-20 and many of them are outstanding football players. I'm sure the interest is there. In my experience, once I hit a certain age there was no team in Dalry to play for - I'm sure a lot of boys feel the same and would love to play for their town. I also believe the full system in Dalry is being revamped for the future. I've heard that all of the current Dalry teams will be renamed to Dalry Thistle with a couple more being added for a direct pathway (boys and girls). Don't quote me on this tough - although it did come from one of the dads it could just be chatter.

I'm fully expecting Dalry to be up there in the mix. I've seen that St Cadoc's have been recruiting very good players and Renfrew were a good outfit this season. I can only hope for the best.

4-0 up in 20 minutes.... 6-5 winners. Team were brilliant first half & got complacent in the second. It wouldn't be Dalry Thistle if it didn't shave a few year off you every game. Great to see a good crowd on a Wednesday night too, all the best to The Roch.

Dalry have won about 6 games since we got them put in last year. Its a no from me.

Chris McGowan Jr is a cut above the rest. I don't think anyone ever took the ball past him when he was at Dalry.

Good start to the season. Few big games on a Friday to bring in fans. I can only imagine that Merksworth will be at max capacity.

Can any Larkhall or Dalry fans tell me what the game was like earlier? Seen we were up 4-1 at HT & won 5-4.

Was looking forward to enjoying a light beverage on a Wednesday night to see out the season but just clocked that we've already played 25 games. Our park is the only good thing about this season. Hopefully an easy summer benefits our players.

Describe the person that had a weapon at a Dalry game, or describe the committee member that seen it. Please tell us so this person can be arrested. I can guarantee that not one young boy from Dalry took a weapon to watch Dalry Thistle play football. Also, do you not think the Darvel boys would have more serious injuries considering they were fighting with Dalry outside the ground? you know, knuckledusters & all. The person from the St Roch game that was threatening to do stuff has been identified & was not from Dalry & will not be at a Dalry game ever again. Just another person coming out because it was against St Roch.

Boys were good today, 3 mistakes, shite happens. Kyle Cumming best player in the juniors. Neilston fans superb too, brilliant bunch of people.

Excellent today, showed the fight that we had all last season. Superb from all of our team today. The wee baldy No. 8 in midfield for St Rochs is some player.

Mental how the only two games we've looked good in & should've won were the games against Benburb & Rutherglen. Football is a funny old game.

All of our red cards were red cards, no debate but did you see the penalty that was dismissed leading to ur first goal? & then yous get a penalty down the other end for the exact same tackle? shocking. The referees last season & earlier in the season between us were shocking too, I remember it well. I recall Whitletts having 4 offsides called that were onside. The referees at junior level are the worst in the business.

Dalry 2-1 Larkhall. We are lucky to come away with a win. We are abysmal.
