  1. Think of all the players in the changing room, not much chance of social distancing there.
  2. I actually believe the current co vid situation could present an opportunity. Once the current crisis ends the current season should be played to a conclusion, the leagues could start again next March and play through the summer. I’ve been playing football in its current format for the past 17 years and can say the thought of playing a game in the wind and rain on an Astro doesn’t excite me.
  3. No brainer for me. Start season around March and finish in October, play games Sat wed Sat.
  4. Took in St Mungo’s v Glasgow Harp last night, very impressed with St Mungo’s, expect them to be in the top half of table. Glasgow Harp looked very poor.
  5. Peasy 2 Rob Roy 6 Will be a long season for Peasy on that showing.
  6. Pollok a decent price at 8/1 with the squad they have.
  7. Agreed. Fair play to Darvel however, they really have built a brilliant squad of players and I fully expect them to comfortably win the league they are in. I think this is the minimum the club will be expecting with all the investment that has went in on and off the park.
  8. Peasy 0 Pollok 6 Took this game in today, Pollok very impressive and look to have a very strong squad going in to the season.
  9. I believe at Cambria Mick and Paul were involved with running both the team and the club as well. I’m sure you’ll agree that the way football is at the minute it would be tough to run both the team and the club. There is a good commitee in place at Glasgow Harp who deal with the majority of things which will allow Mick to concentrate on the football side of things.
  10. No doubt the parks at Stepps are up there with the best in amateur football. Allan Glens certainly not a cowfield.
  11. Park at Allan Glens is in absolutely superb condition at the moment, was in great condition last season as well whenever I watched games there.
  12. Think Anson, Watt and Giffen are good signings for Peasy, not sure how the boys from the amateurs will handle the step up. Should be a good league.
  13. Be interesting to see how Forsyth does back in the premier league. Had a great 1st season with Troon a few years back in the prem and then had a poor spell at Cumnock. Then returned to Troon where it never happened for him before getting back in amongst the goals at Whittlets.
  14. My point with me saying it’s unfair was in the sense as Rossvale don’t have their own ground they don’t have to pay to the costs associated with the maintenance and upkeep of having their own ground which the majority of other junior clubs have. This allows them to spend the majority of their budget on playing staff with the obvious exception of renting Benburbs ground.
  15. Don’t think it’s fair to allow a club to permanently ground share with another club. I understand Rossvale are a fairly new club in Junior terms and have no doubt been let down by the council with regards to the facilities put in place at Huntershill.
