  1. Musselburgh Athletic 2017/18

Got to be top billing in the East this weekend Musselburgh v Haddington - 1st v 2nd in league. Get yourself along to Olivebank tomorrow for what will be a competitive fixture. MTB!
  2. Musselburgh Athletic 2017/18

Sean Murphy was the supporters club man of the match. Boy has got an abundance of skill, and for a slight looking guy, is not afraid to get stuck in. Conor Thomson, could learn from Skip. Conor is a good player, but what let’s him down is that he rarely tackles an opponent, whereas Skip just gets stuck in! If award was given out for sections of each match, then Michael Moffat, would have won hands down. The performance of the team improved when he came on as sub. His runs down the right hand side were great, and he had Bathgate’s no.s 3 and 12 in his pocket! Put a number of good passes into the box, troubling the Bathgate defence, and one which led to the penalty being awarded. Two others who must have had a chance of the award were Gary and Jed.
  3. Do you go to watch Kilsyth regularly? Sorry if this is known already but I can't be @rsed going back through your posts! If you do, do you cheer your team on at each match and only slag them off on P&B, or are you a miserable [email protected] at the matches as well?
  4. Depression and football as an escape

Football definitely can put a smile on your face no matter how hard depression bites! Hard just now with the regular postponements a lot of us supporters are enduring just now!
  5. Betting Odds Saturday 17th February

Big rose; wee rose, Carnoustie and locheeeeeee for an East Region foursome! If it was a five East Region roll-up I'd have added Bo'ness!
  6. Bonnyrigg Rose 2017-18

It's going to be a tough match. No its not it will be tougher than that. Naw, it'll be as tough as the extreme! Come on Bonnyrigg! You are top of the East Super League, and have home advantage so go out and show Beith how good a team you are!
  7. Not technically right! The league you are in is currently 2nd top tier in West Region. Some of the teams will remain in the league which sits just under the Super League, so perhaps a different name but still where they are this year?
  8. Musselburgh Athletic 2017/18

Top 5! We’re good and you’re not! Resuscitated - back to my best!

Tranent had lost 8 out of their previous 9 league matches, and their last 4 in a row. If. they got beat yesterday, Tranent would have been in the bottom 4 of the league (last relegation position) ; so my comment was hardly silly! Before league campaign commenced, Tranent started favourites to win the league. So what has went so badly wrong? Apart from this season, Musselburgh had been in the top Junior league for the previous 7 seasons, and it looks like we will return there next year again! Tranent have never played in the Super league, and can’t be sure which league they will be playing in next year. No denying that winning 2 cups last season was a great achievement and certainly something that Tranent will be rightly proud about. In last 7 years Musselburgh have been in the Scottish Junior cup final twice. Though losing both, we were not disgraced in either, Taking the Tranent cup wins, and also the last 8 seasons into account, overall I would still rather be a Musselburgh supporter. Whilst I would claim we are still the best side in East Lothian, I think that stands up better than a claim that Tranent are in the Top 5 of Junior teams.
  10. Depression and football as an escape

Depending Jambo, on which team you support. This season, I can see your thinking!
  11. Musselburgh Athletic 2017/18

Musselburgh showing the way as the current top team in EastLothian.
  12. Musselburgh Athletic 2017/18

Ha ha, good analogy but outcome could have been slightly different due to recent events. Tranent: slowly into stride, but picked up during the session. Got into the mix, but couldn’t catch up. In the end, lost by a short head, once again. The horse, Always in control and aware of its own ability. Knows when to assert pressure, and also, when to ease to victory, as it did last night.
  13. Musselburgh Athletic 2017/18

So both won, one a favourite and one an outsider; so miracles do happen!
  14. Musselburgh Athletic 2017/18

Tomorrow's match against Glenrothes is subject to a morning inspection. Hope for a positive result. Will be first visit to the ground.
  15. Musselburgh Athletic 2017/18

See Casey Jones is running in the last race at Newcastle tonight! In with a chance of winning? Or has it as much chance as Tranent beating Blackburn tomorrow?
