Lots of technicalities. But if that argument flies, then Airdrieonians can’t exist, as they died, resurrected under a different name, then went through gender realignment and became their old self again. Don’t even get started on The Rangers.
The great thing about this is it smacks down the SJFA proposal to move all clubs into the pyramid. What is the benefit to Carnoustie? None. Why should they be moved? No reason. Would they be able to be promoted, even if they won their league? No. The pyramid should be left to clubs either licensed or on their way to being licensed?
Have any applicant clubs contacted the SFA directly about this? Might be worth contacting the CEO directly so he can confirm either way. If he has agreed to what TJ says, surely this is important to know ASAP this week?
The short summary of this is “chaos”. You cannot be an SJFA Club in an SFA pyramid - one or the other. If this progresses the SJFA should fold and let one national pyramid be set up and administered by the SFA. Easiest way.
An email was recently sent out by BSC proposing a West League within the SFA pyramid. They proposed that West would sit at the same level as East and South leagues and between them they would play off for access to the Lowland League. Apparently a number of teams are interested. Does anyone know which teams they are or might be?

There surely needs to be a rethink of the Lowland League relegation numbers. I understood it that only 1 is relegated from a league of 16. That needs to change.
