Pupils 3-1 Eglinton good start to the season for us

Got a couple of pals coming up from England in a couple of months for a golf weekend, anyone got any recommendations of where to go for a golf weekend? Was thinking of Arran or maybe basing ourselves in fife and booking a couple of rounds somewhere nearby? Cheers

@AmericanFan If you take Liverpool -1.5, -2 on Asian handicap and stake £10, the stake will split into 2x£5 stakes with £5 on Liverpool -1.5 and £5 on Liverpool -2. This means if Liverpool win by 1 you lose both bets, if they win by 2 then the -1.5 bet is a winner and the -2 is a refund (as there are no draws in Asian handicap), and if they win by 3 or more then both bets are winners. Goal line works the same way, £10 on over 1.5, 2 splits into 2 stakes. 1 goal in the game both bets lose, 2 goals one wins and the other is a refund and 3 or more goals both bets win. I’m not familiar with American gambling markets and don’t have a clue about the odds, but your message looks like you are betting on the amount of goals Liverpool or Brentford will score as a team which you don’t get a market on in the UK? Hope that helps!

@geo87 you said that they had a habit of not travelling whilst in the amateurs, so it must’ve happened regularly. Just looking for an example of what you’re claiming. Or is it you don’t have one because it’s a lot of rubbish? Travelling midweek was never an issue as amateurs so it’s not going to be an issue in this league either for them.

What habit is this then mate? Any proof for this claim?

There’s a couple of cafes on the waterfront, one at the top of the pier. Also 2 takeaways on main st if you aren’t looking to sit down. Burnside square if you’re looking for a refreshment, there’s pubs on all sides, again this is just behind the main st. Kintyre park is only 5/10 mins walk from the town centre. Enjoy your trip

Looking for a bit of help with the Scottish golf app, I’m trying to enter an open am-am at my home course, I’ve already got a team of 4 but one person is a member elsewhere and comes down every year for it. It won’t let me enter unless I have 4 players but it won’t let me enter the non members name or “guest” like it did on brs. Does anyone know how to bypass this or what to put in? Thanks in advance

Unfortunately the ferry between ardrossan and Campbeltown hasn’t started this season yet as the ferry has been used to cover another route because the main ferry is undergoing repairs. Don’t know when it’s due to start up again. also @Tutankhamen there is no plane on Saturdays so you need to fly down Friday night and back up Sunday , perfect excuse for a weekend away

Hi folks, Im looking to get a few lessons, has anyone got any recommendations where to go around the Glasgow area? @J_Stewart the photos of Trump look brilliant, will be looking to get up there at some point! How easy was it to get booked on?

Fair enough mate, it was really just to point out that it’s a situation that has been the clubs have been in before and have got through for 40+ years in the amateurs, so wouldn’t be a problem in the WoS. And as cmontheloknow says it might not even be a scenario that needs a solution as it’s all just speculation!

So are you saying teams from Argyll shouldn’t be allowed in? As I’ve said previously when I played in Argyll we still had fixture pile ups at the end of the season due to postponements and cup runs so did have midweek games in Glasgow, a bit of a pain but it’s what we signed up for. Often to catch up we played fixtures on Saturday and Sunday’s over the weekends until caught up. Plus it won’t always be the Argyll teams travelling to Glasgow midweek surely it’ll be the other way round on occasion too?
