To me it looks like the same old story who Stubbs wants in reality is out with our budget. A fan asked Stubbs if we could reach to six. The answer was ask Tony to give me a budget. Looks as though the glove does not fit the hand. Surly the budget must have been talked about at the interview and begs the question why did we spend £75, 000 on a transfer fee.

Don't feel any need to worry just yet I'm confident Stubbs will bring in the right players and the squad will be ready for August the 4th.

Makes you wonder if we are counting our chicks before they have hatched,, McGinn.

Any idea what the problem is. On Friday Stubbs seemed confident 4 or 5 players would be in within 5 days. ?

That will cause panic and nickerwetting by the usual moaners. At least it should put the Stokes deal to bed. Just hope these deals can be done if not we will be scrambling for the crumbs.

One game played well and we get a draw win on penalties. Second game play poor draw win on penalties. Second game we made 6 changes and reports suggest another 5 players to come in we will be fine. St Mirren fans are a shaky lot simply because we are a up and down team. For me the season can't come quick enough.

Too critical mate even if we lost by a goal I would have been happy this a team who have played zilch games. With us bringing in 4 to 5 players more it's going to be exciting season.

He came to St Mirren from a highland league team that's why I thought he was from up north.

Stevie is from up north not Kilmarnock. He left St Mirren for Chelsea in 87 returned to watch St Mirren lift the Scottish cup with the fans. Stevie is loyal to who pays his wages like we all do. If bigger fish come along he will be off contract or no contract for teams like Kilmarnock and the St Mirren's that is the realty unfortunately. I was around when St Mirren broke the Scottish transfer market these days are long gone. Enjoy it while it lasts if Stevie icontinues his success you won't have him more than two seasons.

Being reported Ross has been offered a contract extension with Patrick Thistle interested in signing him. Billyg normally reliable.

Is that a guess on Stewart and Hippolyte ? Stewart for me would be better kept and put out on loan Hyppo could be good for us . Ross was loyal to the team running àway with the league stopping Hippo getting any real game time there is a good player in there.

No domestic cup forum as yet with our game just a couple of days away. What will Saints bring to the game ? We have a new manager who has signed and loaned quite a lot of players from down south. We have yet to play a warm up match so no idea what we will bring to the game against one of the form teams of last season Killie. Have a feeling we will have pace up front Cammy Smith and a couple of young guys we have yet to see. So early during a rebuilding campaign can only see a win for Killie but live and hope I'm wrong.

Has Stubbs signed any youth players ? Are they not all over 20, young men who in Stubbs words are ready to be playing first team football. To be honest I would rather go the way we are going than having someone who has done the rounds. We have a great captain in McGinn to lead the charge.

We are all wondering what it will be like, until the squad is complete and watched a few games only then will pass judgment. At this time I'm not overly worried Alan Stubbs is no fool.

Us being in the same league is a good thing, Thistle also hope it happens.

Morton could be worth a tenner bet this season. We have told four players to find new clubs. Gary Mackenzie , Adam Eckerslay were outstanding for us last season . McShane not bad also.

Once players start coming in the mood of the fans will change. Don't believe for one minute Stubbs is just picking players up at random. Listen to his interviews you can tell he knows who he wants and is working away to get them.

As pointed out it's 33% on profit Hibs paid £120,000 anything above that is 33%. .

Don't remember Saints fans saying McLean is a superstar no idea where you got that info ? McLean is a good player at an Aberdeen level. McGinn and Morgan are on a whole different level. However I get what cannonball is writting let's see if Celtic up there offer I can't see them paying out 3 million to sit on the bench. Look out next season for our next youngster another good one who will go to the next level McGinnis.

The figure 33% has been floated around by some who are normally reliable in the know , suppose if McGinn does move on we will just have to wait till the accounts are published at the end of the year. Any money coming to us is not for the transfer market our chairman wants to develop the stadium for offices and filling in one corner for standing. The fishing ground is shite we can't hold on to our best players the same goes for you also when bigger clubs come along all part of today's game sadly.
