  1. Would've been good to have kept him but not as disappointed with this news as I would have been a week ago.
  2. Cheers, part of me was wondering if it was some kind of a ruse. Reckon it's just an honest mistake though. It's still there, doesn't look like the toughest cable lock. Don't want to cut through their lock and leave their bike vulnerable but I'd also like my own bike back
  3. Looking for some help here P&B, maybe one of you has had something similar happen. Someone has chained their bike to the same railing as me and in doing so has chained my bike to the railing with their lock so I can't move my bike. Just noticed it this morning and had to walk to work so I'm hoping the offending bike is away when I finish work later on. Don't know what to do if it's still there though. Any advice? Should also add, anyone planning to lock their bike up at Buchanan bus station: be a wear!
  4. Anyone know why Youtube's Autofill/Autosuggest function doesn't seem to work properly for The song Cheerleader by OMI? For example, if you type in OMI, the first suggestion is "OMNI - Chandelier" and if you click on this it brings up the video for OMI - Cheerleader anyway. If you type in "cheerleader" there are no suggestions. I hope this makes sense and someone out there has an answer because it's driving me daft.
  5. I'd heard that about webuyanycar.com and similar sites so was expecting as much. Better than having the car sitting there dormant, I'd take gingies. Cheers guys!
  6. Cheers, that's the kind of thing I was looking for.
  7. I decided to get rid of the car a couple weeks ago. Catalytic coverter is nackered as well as another couple things so don't fancy putting it through its MOT (now overdue). Does anyone know of anywhere I could sell the car? Bearing in mind I don't intend using it as PX for anything else and I can't drive it to a scrappy with it not havng an MOT and my insurance having expired.
  8. I was having the same problem. It could be that the lever isn't moving because it's already at it's highest setting but this isn't corresponding to the big ring because of where the cable is attached to the derailleur. Easing off the locking nut on the derailleur and pulling through a bit more of the cable (Therefore increasing the tension in the cable) could do the job. Worked for me. If you can move the derailleur into the big ring position by hand then it's possible this could help the problem.
  9. I've got a pair of crud roadracers, would recommend. Fitting them was straightforward enough although a good bit of tinkering required to get them perfect so that there's no rub. Lightweight, unobtrusive and they do the job.
