  1. Can’t say I am massively bothered with Hogarth signing either way. He just isn’t good enough, but hopefully can improve. But the fact he isn’t our No1 this year presumably means he is signed as backup.
  2. On the Morrison Legend topic. Do people genuinely think he has been great for his whole time here? For me he has been amazing this season and was decent enough last year (seen to remember him going off the boil a bit serving half) but before that was pretty average/disappointing, made what felt like the wrong decision constantly. To be honest if he had went end of last year I don’t think I would have been bothered.
  3. I don’t think it’s that big a deal to be honest. Even if goes tits up next year probably not that expensive to get out of. Might look a bit silly if we don’t go up this year but that is really unlikely.
  4. I think if we went up I would give him a year extension ideally. Although that’s probably not an option. No idea who would replace him. And obviously our record of appointing managers is abysmal. My worry is just that even if we go up does he have the skills to take us further? Not saying there is a good solution.
  5. Sounds like I am in the minority here but not on board with a two year extension. Recruitment has been great but still not convinced he is a long term solution. Too limited as a manager which has shown up recently. I think it’s very unlikely to happen but what happens if we don’t go up.
  6. SA beat by main rival in group then outplayed in every knockout round. Sport for you.
  7. France are entertaining to watch but f**k me they make some mistakes.
  8. I am one of the fans not investing. Was initially really up for fan ownership but the set up we have is not really for me. If it was similar to Hearts, Motherwell or StMirren where fans actually owned the club I would sign up tomorrow but max 25% shareholding doesn’t really appeal. Sounds like the FSS is donating around £80k right now. If the other 75% of shareholders chipped in would almost clear deficit.
  9. Bit late to this but just listened to the latest Falkirk Daft podcast. Apologies if it’s been discussed but what is the point of signing up to FSS if they are going to stop buying shares and just hand the subs to club. Is the whole point of fan ownership not to look to have a model where the fans own club. Surely better to save up the cash and try and use to buy out the old board. Although not at the current £2m valuation which is insane for a tier 3 football club with no assets.
  10. Was just having a look at list of Falkirk managers since Hughes and I have 1 out of 10 (Houston) being a success. That is some going.
  11. I think this is a fair point as we were not really convincing in some of the games we won. But personally at the time was taking that as a positive as not used to us digging out wins. In hindsight maybe we just got a bit of luck.
  12. This is very true. Seemed to me; -the loss to Dunfermline and the Cup run meant the team just switched off. And you can’t really turn form back on. -other teams worked out how to play us and we never really had an answer to that.
  13. 100% this. What do people expect is going to happen if we keep McGlynn. Is he going to change as a manager. Only way I would consider keeping him is if I thought he was on the right track and just needed a few tweaks/players. But IMO he is not and keeping him will just be more of the same next season and the season after.
