  1. Ha Ha Ha don't confuse me for that auld fud!!!
  2. Commendable effort from Kilmarnock but their chances were always slim to nil. No penalty in my honest opinion.
  3. This is clearly Ange's strongest 11, only Jenz, Maeda and Turnbull had a genuine chance of getting the nod. The signing of Haksabanovic has pushed McCarthy from being stripped on the bench to wearing the club suit and tie in the stand. Thought he might take a loan during the window but can only assume he didn't get an offer local or attractive enough. Gonna be one space less when Abidlgaard is up to speed. Bookies have us, quite rightly, as odds on favourites and I don't think Rangers will be able to live with our pace. A late goal will seal a 3-0 home win.
  4. Celtic are keeping tabs on Sligo Rovers striker Johnny Kenny with a view to making a move for the 18-year-old next year and are also monitoring 19-year-old Drogheda midfielder Killian Phillips, who is also attracting transfer interest from overseas. (Irish Independent)
  5. Id love to say Im suprised with what happened today but I'm not. Lennons recent decision to change formation and line up was not a tactical masterstroke it was the last desperate throw of the dice by a desperate manager. It was enough to overpower Hamilton and Ross County but in his first real test he's been found wanting again. Putting square pegs in round holes when you have our resources is not good enough and has ultimately cost us yet again. Happy new year.
  6. The handling of Edouard was poor. I think he expected to be off to a bigger league and whilst it's not really our fault that he isn't i.e. we didn't receive an offer that would cover PSG's % and give us the £20m we wanted, I thought the way NL dismissed it was patronising...he's just a kid, his head's been turned but he'll learn. Edouard is our best player by a mile and he knows it and I don't believe he's currenlty giving 100%. Whether that's just out of anger at the club or a mixture of club and NL I don't know but his importance to the team is massive and if we can't get him back on side I don't think we'll make it TIAR.
  7. Plays our best centre half and our best left back in their correct positions and we win the home leg with a clean sheet and 4-1 away from home. Our coach has come up trumps AGAIN. Happy with Lazio and Stade Rennais but CLUJ again, fucking hell!!
  8. A comfortable 4-0 victory. 3 up by half time, 40 mins of comfortable showboating with Ikpeazu sent off on 65 mins. A fourth goal in the last 5 minutes. Brown smashes Cochran and Lenny rounds it all up with a 'Natural Order' comment for good measure. Bring it on.
  9. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-48403722 Celtic's statement on the latest case was published on the club's website at 16:10 on Friday. It comes on the eve of the Scottish Cup Final which will see the club take on Hearts at Hampden. Mr McGuire, of Glasgow-based law firm Thompsons, condemned the timing as "cynical in the extreme".He said: "The conviction and sentencing of McCafferty was over a week ago. "To put this statement out late on a Friday afternoon before a holiday weekend on the day the prime minister resigns and before a potential Treble Treble weekend for the club is appalling. "It is insult to everyone who suffered abuse and to their families. "It is the worst kind of PR low cunning and casts the club in an even worse light than before. Every member of the Celtic board should hang their heads in shame. " I can't help but agree. IF we felt a statement was necessary we shouldn't have made it look so hollow and insincere. Fuckin' Traynoresque.
  10. Lennon's interview was also restrained and respectful. Full marks to both.
  11. For many of those players this was the first time they've been really tested since the Valencia game in February and too many failed it. Pish performance.
  12. Of course but the standards expected should not fall off a cliff in the space of a couple of months.
  13. Agreed. Great result but those players are not giving Lennon as much as they were giving Brendan and we should not have been pushed that close today on our own pitch.
  14. Scott Brown is on the verge of handing Celtic a MASSIVE 10-in-a-row boost by rejecting a DREAM move to Oz and signing a new 3 year deal with the Scottish champions. Having already turned down an eye-watering £50,000 per week deal from top UAE side Al-Wasl *formerly managed by Diego Maradona* Brown has responded to pleas from Chief Executive Peter Lawwell to lead Scotland's biggest and most successful club to even more unprecedented levels of achievement . I doubt ANY player in Scottish football history had had as much love for a club as Broonie has for Glasgow Celtic - HH.
  15. He'll come to us when he's 26, a better player and financially comfortable.
  16. Thought you did well in spells with some neat passing fitba.
  17. 11 million Chinese Yuan = £1.3m so assuming the Daily Ranger doubled the original bid that sounds about right.
  18. Totally agree. If the upfront fee is more than £4m I'd say it's a mistake that reeks of spending big for the sake of it. He's a good lad but doesn't look to have the potential that Moussa has. I'd rather we'd nicked Kamberi for 500k.
