Great thread this, just catching up. A few things; GY!BE at the Barras were amazing, I remember. I may be mis-remembering because I was steaming drunk, missed the first song (large chunk of a Godspeed concert, Albanian I think it was), spent a significant portion of the gig talking to a buddy. Interesting night. Got hassled by the police on the way home because I matched the description of someone they wanted to talk to re. a stabbing. Bizarre. Anyway, seen them in better circumstances at The Arches and they were again superb. Going to see ASMZ in Feb, excited about that. Mogwai doing Zidane was great. Really interesting gig. Won't see anything like it. Pity the night turned out to be so cold. Belting stuff though all together. Russian Circles, Red Sparowes, Slint, Caspian and The Constants are great recommendations. The latter two in particular. The Raven by Caspian is a crusher of a song. Mogwai are amazing. Live they're pretty fucking stunning. The new album sounds really good. Big fan of the titles (Heard About You Last Night is a hilarious name as is The Lord Is Out of Control). On the new album, The Lord and Blues Hour stand out. Dunno how good the new stuff will translate live though.

This was a stunning show. When he began singing "And yer red sky at night won't follow me", in the first verse... goosebumps, tears in the eyes, the lot. Magical. I'd listened back to the album, having over-played it for the last however many years and was a bit 'whatever' over it, but tonight they brought it back to life.

Love the idea of Saldo being on a performance-based contract. The auld yen is out of, what, 6 competitions (CP, EL, LC, SC, LC, Rams) since he took charge?

First of all, I mentioned the sources which wiki compiled. Check them out, pal. They're more reliable than clubs' own history annuals which you seemingly take for gospel. Second of all, and check this out, who gives a f**k about attendance? Celtic get lower attendance at SPL and domestic cup games generally than at the Champions League games. There are many reasons why and, YES, glory hunting IS A reason, but you have to consider cost, opponent and other issues. The facts here are that attendances don't win or lose games, players' performances do. Anyway- your team is dead. Hearts- started again. Middlesborough- started again. Leeds- gained a CVA. Rangers- will be liquidated in 2013. Sevco- born in 2012 (will die in 2013). You can fling insults around, as is your mob's wont, but the facts exist. Research them and save yourself the cost of investing in the holding company for a holding company for a team who will not trade in 1 year's time.

You giving tickets (to anyone, or the troops though I wasn't referring to them) doesn't stick in my craw at all - I said I had no problem giving away free briefs. Do you have issues reading? Having a go at Celtic offering free tickets to ST holders' friends. That's just good marketing, considering how many we've packed into the CP over the last few months (remember Wednesday?) Also, the pop about selling tickets on Groupon- that's just good marketing again. Selling tickets at a cheaper level. Pretty good stuff. Nice wee reward for fans in these "economic times". Anyway, you dirty b*****ds have been giving away tickets! Not that it matters, of course, but don't go on like you're above it. New club, same old arrogance as the old, dead one.

I'm Still Here, the documentary on Joaquin Phoenix's life after quitting acting and pursuing a career in rap. Amazing, just amazing. Seriously, it's worth looking out but don't try to read up on it, just know that it's a doc. that he and Casey Affleck made about his life post-films. It's superb.

Yup, amazing show. H Jon Benjamin is amazing. Anyone seen his sketch show, H Jon Benjamin Has a Van? It's... hit and miss but pretty great when it hits. Also, you should watch Frisky Dingo. It preceded Archer. Similar style, creators & voice actors.

Aye, she's gorgeous. Lanky, the S1 DVD is worth it for the video commentary alone. 2nd series out soon.
