  1. No, but did you favourite the tweet?
  2. When was the last time you were in Gorgie?
  3. I'm having my first night out in Leith in years and I'm shocked by how hipster it's become. Right now I'm standing outside a wanky bar listening to guys scream back and fro how kinky (their, overused, word) they are. Awful. Can't wait to get back to reality in Gorgie.
  4. Cheers. It's quite wide ranging, depending on your interests. I'm planning on sticking with more theoretical and interdisciplinary courses on historical archaeology and suchlike, with a focus on kingship. There's lots of fieldwork as well though, which'll make a nice change from my usual library intensive choice of courses. All in all, I'm really excited about studying something brand new to me.
  5. I've just been accepted onto MLitt Celtic and Viking Archaeology at Glasgow. I'm a little worried as I've never studied archaeology before, so going in at masters level will be a bit of a challenge. A summer of reading should have me up to speed though and the admissions staff must think I'll be upto it. I'm mostly really excited though. I've been wasting my time and degree since I graduated in 2012 and I can't wait to get back to studying now.
  6. Not in my experience anyway. I've spent a lot of time researching Scottish constitutional and Covenanting literary history c. 1660-1689 and some of the arguments I've gotten into with OO members are a frightening indictment on their knowledge of the period. These are definite OO members, before anyone asks, the kind who post photos of their fun shenanigans in Belfast on Facebook. I once walked out the pub after being called a "Jacobite b*****d" whilst discussing the finer nuances of Charles II's viceroy set up in Scotland. Utterly abysmal levels of debate in my experience.
  7. Sounds like the Facebook pish going about a while ago. Dire stuff, these people need deleting. I'm sure it's nicely covered in the Facebook Top Fives thread, if you really want to go to town on it.
  8. Not so much. Ugly dog really. Thanks for your suggestion though Zen.
  9. I'd love to be smothered by someone in a tiger onesie to make my hangovers better, TBH. Pikachu can piss off. Would not help at all.
  10. Me too. I wouldn't say it got on my nerves so much as it was horrible to see though.
  11. It's almost like you read mind... I posted half looking for advice in dealing with Jambos and half trying to flush him out, as I have my suspicions... Time will tell. If he wants to spend half the night laughing at The Rangers (as his moves so far suggest) then I'm rumbled! Ah well, there have been stranger first dates.
  12. I'll forgive you mainly due to your helpful pointers and because I just spotted your "lap it up" edit. Hell, that's really good dating advice regardless of gender!
  13. I would warn him about that, but, on a first date, I'm just not that kind of girl
  14. As football personalities go I was quite the Sergio fan. I may be able to spin this to suggest I thought he was highly tactically aware and his team selection suggested as much. Then again, I may end up in a Shiels/Sergio row and anyone who can't accept Kenny as the WUM he is is unworthy of my affection. I will, of course, report back on my findings. I hear it's an odd Jambo exception in a family of Hibees, already my interest's piqued. Thanks for your help PA!
  15. I'm also a fan of this. One of those wee moments that sound trivial almost the second you utter them but truly pleasing nonetheless. My own moment worth sharing is that I have a date with a Jambo upcoming. First ever Hearts fan despite being an Edinburger, born and bred. My quandary: do I kid on (as a Killie & Scotland fan) that I'm Jefferies/Levein daft (I work with loads of them and they lap this shit up when I do it for laughs) or do I play it straight, as etiquette suggests on a first date? ETA Just noticed you're a Jambo Paranoid Android, perhaps you can help in return for me enjoying your Bounty tale? And also ETA, I've been on many dates with many diddy team supporters and the football chat's easy. Just something about Hearts fans that they're a bit more precious than the rest of us. Just in case anyone thought this was an odd request of how to talk football on a date. Any help will be gratefully received.
