I see your comments now re Tidser, Bobby Evans etc. I think you beat me as the first captain I think the captain was Johnny Boyd as Bobby Evans had left in 63. I think Tidser and Fred are now benefitting from the extra midfielder.

Tontrooper, I see you were trying to contact me earlier, please let me know what it was about.
Cheers, DreamOak Tree

Part 2:/circa '64...only a year after my first attendance at Cappielow..it was a Weds night game (reserves) team led out by Bobby Evans...'broon ba' an' a'...can you remember yours?

Hope your well Dream Oak Tree.I read with interest your post re the Livi game...I totally agree with you about Tidser and quite honestly I sometimes think the (our) supporters miss a lot of his touch and foresight...a wee bit like I used to berate Kenny Dalgleish in his early days for Scotland until a 'wiser' head put me right.Incidentally...noticed you started supporting Morton circa ...

Hi Tontrooper, you're correct about Wille Allan and Joe Mason as they played together more than Harper and Allan. I was just trying to emphasise the difference between a no. 9 and a no. 10 to the guy who asked the question. I thought Joe Mason sometimes played as a bit of an inside man whereas Joe Harper was more recognised as a centre forward (although he usually wore no. 7).

Part 2 ....Did Willie Allan not play inside man to Joe Mason more often than not?..maybe wrong..the passage of time clouds the memory sometimes!....All the best.
